Clickbank Vendors: Wordpress or Another Platform for Website?

I used HTML static website for the first ever product in CB. But I guess WP is better due to its flexibility and it's being more user friendly.

But what if you want to create a members area where consumers be able to watch the videos, download PDF files and so on. How is that going to work with wordpress or other platforms?

Anyone knows what this vendor has used to create his site: Venus Factor

For some reason I can't find any information creating and building a website as a Clickbank Vendor? Can anyone give me some suggestions?

If you want a private member's area then Wordpress has many different plugins that provide this functionality. One is S2Member. If you decide to go with an HTML site, there are scripts you can use such as Amember. Inside the member's area they can watch videos, download your tools or guides, etc. Nonmembers won't be able to access this area unless they pay or have a password and username.

As far as setting up a CB site as a vendor, it's basically the same setup you'd have anywhere. You can get more information from Clickbank's help site where they give a lot of details about how to get set up as a vendor.

Personally, I have used both wordpress and html pages. There is a learning curve to either platform, but I prefer doing html pages. Much more control and flexibility. Potentially better security. Wordpress has some hacker vulnerabilities, and should be updated often. Unfortunately, sometimes the update breaks some of your plugins or causes other problems. Or at least, that's what happened to me enough to quit using wordpress.

Many people love wordpress, though. If you do go that route, I'll second the suggestion for Thrive Themes above, and suggest you look at MemberMouse for the membership area.

I use a program called rapidweaver, with stacks plugins. It only runs on mac, though. The stacks plugins are third party extensions and plugins that are easy to use and add .

I'm currently setting up a new membership website, and for the membership area and product downloads, I'm using DLGuard. I've been using this program (its actually php script) for many years. Great program, and great support. DLGuard can also work with a wordpress site.

In the old days it seamed like everyone just used HTML/CSS or landing page templates to make their sales pages. At this day in age I think you're better off using Wordpress. Not sure which landing page plugin would be the best, the one I've used in the past wasn't that great. However, EasyDigitalDownloads plugin as an addon module for JVZoo which I think might make downloads and member area stuff work a little easier.
