Hosting, Writers, and Wordpress

Anyone have recommendations for a well-known affordable web hosting service?

Also if anyone has info about how I can contact people to write blogs, posts, and such for me I'd love the info.

Lastly, is wordpress a good software for a beginner trying to create a news/content site?

Bluehost and Hostgator are two pretty well known and trusted hosting services you could check out.

If you're looking for some writing contributions rather than creating the content yourself, you should check out https://www.fiverr.com/. It's affordable as well.

Wordpress is definitely a good intuitive CMS for beginners.

    Hope that helps. Cheers.

Thanks found a seller on Fiverr already. BlueHost looks great as well, guess I can go ahead and get started.
      Thanks for your help.

    1. HostGator for hosting is pretty good.

    2. Elance, Fiverr, oDesk, Freelancer, Guru, and Warrior Forum for writers

    3. Yes, WordPress is an excellent platform for both blogs and websites.

For starters with not much traffic, then HostGator is decent.
When you're ready to move onto VPS or dedicated servers, get the FUK out of Hostgator as soon as possible. Those guys will seriously overcharge you.

You can alternatively look into iWFHosting.com. I recently signed up with them and those guys are awesome. Fairly priced, too.

    Bluehost, Hostgator, Dreamhost.

Do NOT use fiverr. $5 = $5 articles = no long term quality or investment.

You get what you pay for.

Use elance, Freelancer and team up with a writer who wants to get to know your business and creates great work around it. Expect to pay around $10-$20 per 500 words for quality work (I know, I charge $20 per 500 words and I see my clients share rates from my work - it is worth the investment for them!)

Wordpress self hosted is your best choice, one click install and easy to use.

I have decided to use Bluehost, wordpress, and find an author who wants to stick with me and my business for the long run.
      Thanks!

Hostgator and Bluehost have great customer service and have been stable for my sites for almost 10 years. Wordpress is the top platform for blogging so no need to find any alternatives. Just for reference, if you would want to have a hosting service that especially caters to Wordpress sites, check out WPengine.
Some other important sources for Wordpress-based sites are Themeforest for Wordpress themes and Codecayon if you need some special plugins.
Fiverr writers are a waste of money. Odesk and Elance (now Upwork) are better places to find quality writers but you may need to try a few in order to filter out one good one. You can also try out writing agencies with full satisfaction guarantee (like my agency - Contentation) for your weekly blog posts.
