Which is a better idea?

I am creating a site where I will give people advice on how to make money with forex. Which is the best idea?

1. Create a lone squeeze page to entice their email and market solely by sending them offers to their email.

2. Have a landing page where I talk about the benefits of the product I am providing, explain about people who got rich with it quickly, blah blah. Place affiliate links on the landing page, and try to get their email by pop up.

Can anyone experienced tell me which one they think people will respond better to.

P.S. I know about split testing, I just want to get an idea of what people here think. It might factor into my decision.

    Both the two method works. However, if you can create and build a email list with responsible subscribers, you have choice to sell to your list again and again. So I suggest to build a list, then send email with link to your landing page.

    You do not have to get emails with pop-up. You can have the landing page, where step one is to subscribe, and step 2 is to make payment. This way you get both the email address and you sell the product.

    Alternatively, you can have a landing page for some report you give for free in exchange of the email address, and then send them to the paying landing page.

    You should create a landing page and build a list. There have been studies done, and they have proven that conversion rates are higher with landing pages in comparison to just sending people directly to the sales page. With a landing page, you have the chance to answer any final questions the customer may have before they buy it. If people know what they are getting before they buy it, it also lessens refunds. Once someone is on your e-mail list, you can promote to them over and over, again.

    Get their email first. If you're not using a squeeze page, the moment people leave, they're gone forever pretty much. In most cases, it's going to take several times maybe even 7-10 times before people make a commitment to take action on their decision.

    I wouldn't necessarily just send them offers all the time either. You might want to consider building authority, providing value and teaching them how the Forex industry is beneficial to meet their goals. But from your perspective you don't want to sell the goal, you'll want to sell the vision.

    Then however you're training them, whether it be email content only or video, you'll want to provide them with the things they'll need in order to achieve their vision.

    Yes indeed build your list. Perhaps the landing page could have some good content for pre-sales info. You could still make use of the pop-up if the do not opt in right away but stay on your pge to view the content.
