Is it possible to clean a list of 100k businesses

It's been a long time since I've gone down the e-mail marketing path and I'm looking for some advice. I have recently been offered a list of 100k+ business e-mails, phone and other social media contacts (only details guaranteed are e-mails). I am considering procuring this list and feeding them into an auto-responder using roughly the following process:
1. Intro e-mail with free e-book in my niche and opt-in/out of information newsletter
2. Ongoing newsletter with ideas on services related to those my business offers
3. Occasional (very occasional as my business is the main product I want to promote) affiliate products or similar.
4. Regular (At the bottom of every e-mail and some dedicated to just this message) reminders of what my business does and how to get in touch with us.
Having not tried to refine a list this size before, and being out of the e-mail marketing game for a little while, does seem like a sensible approach?
