Facebook Myths - Show and Tell

Reading recent threads, and speaking to people privately - Newcomers and experienced marketers alike, I've noticed a growing trend. People tend to think it's nearly impossible to get cheap clicks on facebook, especially in tier 1 countries, including the US.

I've had multiple people tell me that they can't get their CTR over 5-6% and they're having problems with their relevancy score.

The point of this thread is to show that it's very possible, and it's happening everyday. I went into three of my inactive accounts and took a screen shot of the stats. I'll explain a little bit about each one.

CPC - .04c average
CTR - 7.31%
Relevancy score - 10/10
Total website clicks - 18,551

CPC - .07c average . That ad ran for over three weeks. It started out around .02c. As it spends more money, and gets more coverage, the cpc tends to go up. Since it was still profitable, I let it run.
CTR - 7.4%
Relevancy score - 9/10
Total website clicks - 74,979

CPC - .02c
CTR - 13.02%
Relevancy score - 10/10
Total website clicks - 5,617

Couple things I wanted to mention - Each of those ads, had no minimum cpc price. They were also all in Tier 1 countries.

I'm an affiliate marketer, in the diet niche. It's one of the most competitive markets there is. I'm able to create killer ads daily with extremely cheap traffic, that sees on average 150-200% roi. If I can do this with diet, than you should be able to do it in almost any other niche.

Also like to mention it's very important to match your ads with your landing pages. You need to follow the same theme, and make sure it's completely relevant to what you're offering. It doesn't matter how cheap the traffic is, if you don't do that, you will not succeed.

Although it was nice to see the pictures, this thread wasn't exactly helpful.

    You did mention,

"important to match your ads with your landing pages. You need to follow the same theme, and make sure it's completely relevant to what you're offering."

    I 100% agree.

But, I would like to know more about your ads. How do you achieve such a high CTR?
I know the pictures account for majority of the success but even then how do you manage
    such high CTR's?

    Specific ad tips?

The best thing you can do is put yourself out there.

This wasn't meant to be a how to guide. People need to do their own testing, and put in a lot of work to see these kind of results.

There's no special trick to obtaining high ctr or low cpc. Every niche is different, so everyone's result is going to differ.

When I create a new ad, I stick to a few main guidelines -

The Picture needs to be extremely eye catching. When someone hits a page, if their eye isn't immediately directed to the ad, I'm not using that photo.

The headline needs to be attention grabbing. They should have no choice but to continue reading the rest of the text.

The rest of the text needs to be intriguing, and it needs to leave the viewer curious. End the text in the middle of a word, making them wonder what you're trying to tell them.

I didn't say it was going to be easy. I'm sure some niches are harder than others, but if you get creative and stick to those few main points, you'll see a win.

I agree. People do need to test things out for themselves, and this goes for Facebook ads but for any other kind of ads as well!

Two of those are diet, the other one is dating.

I deal mainly in the diet niche, but I've been able to see similar results in every niche I've tried, including diet, skin, muscle, dating, insurance and pharma. I'm sure I could be profitable in any niche I went after - If I really put the time and effort into it like I have with my other verticals.

One market I haven't ever tried is MMO. I'm sure it's fairly difficult, but I think with enough testing you'd be able to see positive roi.
