Hostgator - Resell, or Affiliate?

I just got a Hostgator Reseller account. It was the best package for me to move off of GoDaddy and move all my blogs to.

I have no idea how to 'resell' hosting.

I know that Hostgator has an affiliate program. I have no trouble building links to their aff program.

But it seems to me that I could probably make more money reselling.

Do I have to do the $100 deposit for the upgrade from eNom to API and use the RegistryRocket package?

How do y'all resell, if you're doing that?

Or should I just stick to the affiliate program?

Being a reseller is identical to having your own hosting business. You will be responsible for basic customer support, taking orders, etc. You need to know at least some basic level of technical knowledge in web hosting (cpanel/WHM/etc). In the long term it will make you more money.

If you have many blogs or commercial websites with revenue more than 50$ monthly, it will be useful for you.
