I have created an ebook for a "freebie" on list building, but I was wondering if selling a "how to" affiliate product after the freebie would be ok and profitable?

Must I upsell a list building product since that is what the freebie is?

Would it really be a problem if I used a list building "freebie" in the squeeze page and then sell a "how to" affiliate marketing product afterwards?

Also, Would it be ok to go ahead and sell a list building product and later down the line in the email campaign to sell the "how to" affiliate product?

Would that be ok because it seems like it would be out of order.

When I teach my clients how to make profitable sales funnels of their own, I always suggest that they make their own products. That's just where the real money is... With that said, once you have your freebie linked to an auto-responder - you're building your list already, so why not expand upon the content in your freebie with another info product like an eBook, MP3 series, video tutorial, email series, etc? (just a few ideas for you)

Obviously you can use an affiliate offer as an upsell until you finish your own OTO but my advice is to take your "freebie" knowledge and expand upon it. Hope this helps. -KJH (friend me)

To monetize a freebie list, you need to send some quality PLR content and build relationship with the subscribers at the beginning. They will think you are a contributor helping them to solve their problems. They believe in your email. Then you have better chance to convert your follow up series.

For an offer after they optin to your email list, it is always recommended that you show an offer that is relevant to the subscribers or if the sales letter/video is positioned. If it caters for list builders why not?

So if you have a list of subscribers that signed up for a freebie on list building should you just market list building products to that list?

and if I wanted to do an affiliate marketing list just keep it relevant to affiliate marketing and just sell affiliate marketing products or can you sell all aspects of affiliate marketing to your list which includes list building?

Still wondering if I can start with list building then jump to affiliate marketing even though that is a bit out of order?

Initially yes, but you might want to segment your list into different sub niches. One way to do that is by offering another freebie offer related to another offer. Since some people will be interested in other offers as well.

By doing this, you are sure that the offers that you are showing to your subscribers is relevant to them.
