is it a "must" to use pretty link on WP?

I using it for my amazon affiliate link

actually I don't find it " any special "

just the url look nice with your website name in front than the key product name before.

usually we just insert the url under highlight thus till now i don't know what's the benefits using it.

what's your thoughts?

Cloaking a link and tracking basic stats isn't going to affect anything unless you're constantly clicking, building up your total raw links. If it track unique clicks, then it's only going to represent as 1 unique click.

I'm not 100% sure what you're asking, because wouldn't you have known what pretty link does before you downloaded it?

            Nothing is a must.

Pretty link is a "tool" that is used by many. If you like it, use it. If you don't, then don't use it.

Couldn't agree more. The only thing that I would add to that is don't worry about the small stuff. The most important thing at this time is that you focus on generating traffic and generating conversions.

Maby after you get a few sales you can measure it too see if helps increase your conversions. But to think about little things like that at the early states should not be a factor.

  • Hello Devilfish, there is no better, it's all relative, everyone uses what 'more' likes best, perhaps based on the results they get.

People use Pretty links to hide the affiliate link and to track the clicks. So its better to use them to get an idea.

Noted, " actually is not really hide" you can still see your amazon affiliate tag but it go to the middle of the url instead behind.
