Sorry but I don't understand this.

This is one of the most shocking responses I've read on this forum in a long while.

Someone very kindly, and altruistically offers to give you one-on-one help and you throw it back in his face because you can't be bothered to download a free program.

A far better response might have been 'give me five minutes to install Skype and then I'm all yours!'

Wow, when you put it like that it is totally indefensible. Thank you very much for pointing it out to me Martin, although I'd rather you had done it by PM.

I'm a big fan of yours, I read each edition of your Kickstart newsletter religiously, it's one of the few that I actually look forward to opening and reading.

It's your insightfulness and frankness that makes it such a good read, and I listen to what you have to say, so when you point out that I have made an error I sit up and take note.

My reply to Intrepreneur wasn't at all meant to be a snub, and if I thought it was as simple as installing a free program I would have gladly taken Intrepreneur up on his very kind offer.

However I thought at the time that Skype was a way to hold voice communications over the internet, and the reason that I didn't take up Intrepreneur's kind offer is that I don't have a headset or microphone that I could have used.

I realise now that Skype also allows text chat, and if I had realised that at the time I would have asked Intrepreneur if we could have used that instead of voice.

I have since sent a PM to Intrepreneur apologising for my actions, and he has very kindly kept his offer of help on the table, and I will be taking him up on this.

Thanks again Martin for pointing out the error of my ways. I am fairly new to internet marketing and so am always willing to learn from people and to correct any shortfalls in my actions and behaviour.

If you really want to learn the "how to" of article writing and marketing then I can recommend:

Steve Wagenheim, Dean Shainin, and Tim Gorman.

I have purchased article writing and article marketing products from each of them and you will learn what you need to know and then some from these guys.

Let me say something about Dean Shainin, Tim Gorman and Allen Graves
who I mentioned earlier.

Dean is the only article marketer to come out with a book that I actually
promoted to my own list even though I have my own books on the subject.
The guy really knows his stuff. I read his EZA book from cover to cover. He
has some excellent ideas in it.

Tim, I only know from the threads he's posted on this forum but let me tell
you something, in those threads (you can find one of them at Mind Warriors)
he shares more than some people make you pay for, so I can only imagine
how incredible his products are. Plus, he seems to be one of the nicest guys
you'll want to meet.

Allen Graves, IMO, probably knows more about optimizing articles for
directories than anybody I know. The guy is a walking statistical machine.
He has his own directory and knows what kinds of articles will and won't
get results. He is constantly on top of what the search engines are
looking for and what will rank. He's also a straight shooter and tells it
like it is.

If I was starting all over (I learned all I know from painful trial and error
over 3 years of beating my brains out) I'd pick every single one of these
guys to pick their brains of every piece of knowledge that they have. I
have no doubt that I would have gotten results in weeks instead of
months.

I agree with you on that.

I made my recommendations based on if someone were actually going to pay for this information. Because I have never purchased anything from Allen I could not recommend buying from a personal "customer" point of view.

I think if somebody really wanted to learn inside and out, they could and should start reading every post you four (Steven, Dean, Tim, and Allen) have made on article marketing.

I want to use article marketing to drive traffic, so I suppose first and foremost I want to learn how to market with articles better.

However I don't want to do it using substandard articles if at all possible, so secondlty I want to learn how to write better articles.
