Cost to become a Seller on Amazon

Hi Guys, I've been told that it's more profitable to become an Amazon seller instead of an affiliate. What would you say is the minimum amount of money needed to invest in say one nutritional product, PLR, stock, etc.? I know health and wellness is a popular niche.

There is no minimum amount, you have to invest what you can afford. There are people killing it on Amazon, but you have to be able buy cheap and sell cheap. There is alot of competition on Amazon, and you have sellers selling below cost, and making money on the shipping.

Make sure you do your homework, before you go investing your money. There are nothing but sharks on Amazon

    I agree.

You can sign up at "amazon services". As far as adding items to their marketplace - this can be a challenge. If you have a book, you can get it self published via Createspace or Lulu and have it listed in the Amazon marketplace in about a month.

Things sell fast (really fast) on Amazon. There are some cons to this though. But i will keep them to myself.

If there is anyone who has been or is an Amazon seller in the health and nutrition market (for example), it'd be helpful if you could give me an idea of what it cost you to get started with your first product. I'm assuming that there's a minimum quantity of products that a seller has to order to make it viable. I have some money to invest but have no idea if it's sufficient so a ballpark figure would be appreciated.

The only cost is for buying the items, packing and shipping. But if you want to minimize the initial investment then you should consider dropshipping websites. You can join them and you don't need to buy or maintain any inventory. You can add your product for sale on Amazon without even buying it. When an order is placed, dropshipping company ships it for you and you get your profit. But there is some monthly cost to join these dropshippers.

If you want to do it on your own then you need to invest more and buy products before selling them. The cost depends on the products you are buying.
