Does It Matter If You Show Your Face In Promo's

I am building a course to sell teaching people what I know about marketing.

I want to know your opinion on showing your face (talking to camera)

vs

Powerpoint presentation

This is the sequence

Squeeze Page with (Video) either (talking to cam) or (powerpoint presentation)

To

OTO (talking to cam) or (PP)

Training
Thank you video (Talking to cam) or (PP)

just wondering has any marketer who created a course tested whether sitting in front of camera or creating powerpoint type presentations which did better conversions and which worked better with list?

  • Back in the day, in a broadcasting course I took, we learned allot about ourselves and what we look like on camera. (mannerisms, body language, etc...) It's interesting (shocking at times)
the things you learn about yourself when you play back a video, or audio recording of yourself.

You can use being comfortable in front of a camera to your advantage. If you have a bit of acting talent, humor, and or good looks, whatever you think may help your cause, then do it. But if you're not comfortable at all, and it shows, don't do it. Especially if it's a paid product.

Why not record a sample of what you plan to do, and go get some feedback.
    Your mom doesn't count!

In the end it's all about what exacly it is you want to get across to your audience.
If the learning material is more important than you using your video for your acting demo reel, then stick with the "power point to video" presentation, and make sure you have a quality voice recording.

As for conversions, females will always convert better.

Just the fact that a picture can show there is a real person behind the product can do wonders for sales and trust. Not some faceless website people don't know if they can trust or not.

    Just my opinion.
