Hi guys,

I'm wondering how's this site make money? Accredited Online Colleges: Find 2015's Best Online Schools

When I search on keyword planner the keywords has really high suggested bids for adwords.
However there's no adsense on the site.

Seems like lead generation type site.
Do they monetize it through CPA ?
But how to join school lead generation program?

    Online education is huge.

That's why 'online mba programs' is a heavily spammed keyword

    Very competitive

    But also very lucrative.

It looks to me like they are associated with a lot of colleges. When someone does join, they probably earn a commission or something.

I believe that they are like a middlemen.

I could be wrong but that's what it seems like they are doing.

they obtain personal information and sell to online/real colleges. then you get bombarded by offers from them

It appears to be a lead generating site, in my opinion. The site is a quasi- directory of higher education opportunities in each state. I'm sure the information on the site can be obtained online . . . I doubt that all the colleges and universities listed have asked to be found on the site.

There is a blog associated with the site and my guess is that this listing of online education exists to eventually create traffic to other monetization possibilities.

Most of the time I use the Adsense & Affiliate. If you want to earn money from this site, you can follow any ways. Adsense, affiliate program or, even you can sell your own products if you have.

They may be charging the schools and universities that are featured on their site. They are collecting email addresses and can "recommend" their subscribers the "best school" in their city :-)

They get a hefty finders fee for anyone that enrolls in their recommended colleges.

It's a lead generation site. They sell the leads to the colleges that the users selects as wanting more info about. There's a lot of sites like this / EDU is a huge market. Also, you can find these type of offers on CPA networks. They pay real well too per lead.

Lead generation is one of the best ways to get started in internet marketing. Nothing to sell, user just has to fill out a form. There's leads that pay $20-$60 and more depending on the vertical that work on a front end campaign. I've been doing this forever...big money!

    That ^^^^^^.

no way to know for sure, but that's my guess. In some CPA networks, you can find colleges and trade schools. Those pay pretty well, too! I've seen then in MY network as well. In fact, I ran a site similar to that but it involved "financial aid" as well. The whole thing was CPA offer driven.

That was a good earner for me and I eventually was able to sell it.
