Native Advertising - CPC or Revenue share?

Hi Guys,

Most Native Advertising companies work on a CPC basis while a few give out a generous revenue share.

Taboola and Outbrain for example will pay you $0.015 per click which is pretty low but then again their ads are super attractive and generate many clicks.

Revecontent and Ayboll.com will pay 50% to 75% of sales to some proven tested products.

My opinion is that what's really important is the RPM in the end of the day (or rather month)

What's your opinion?

    RPM is one measurement.

    I prefer ROE

    Return on EFFORT.

CPC or revshare might seem attractive at first but you have to figure how much effort you'd have to put in to generate traffic and how efficiently it is monetized.

Excuse me but what does native mean here? Is it to say local?

Taboola and Outbrain you get around $0.03 per click and can get an RPM of around $2-3. Saying that a good rev share with a good RPM is better!

    Cheers
