Main focus list building no site?

I have a youtube channel about personal development and a site as well. I have 1 article published on the site and haven't really worked on it to much. Im really focused and devoted to learning program, but I still would like to have my personal development brand as well. With the site I was thinking of putting a opt in page and my sales page for consulting/coaching while building traffic from youtube and ads to build my email list with no blog posting. Would this be a good idea?

  • Youtube is a great way to drive targeted traffic. Video seems more and more like the way to go. I would recommend you make more videos and have each video lead back to your opt in page. I would also recommend you using FaceBook and Twitter as part of your marketing efforts.
  • Sounds like a good idea to me. Go and make it happen. I'm a big fan of paid advertising. But as soon as you start building up that list... make sure you start promoting to them right away.
  • You can embed your videos onto your blog.

    I would at least post 1-2 new blog posts per month (like I said, you can embed your video into a blog post and write a paragraph or some bullet points to go along with it).

    It only takes 5 minutes to do it, and in the future when you want to promote your blog more, you'll have a consistent archive of posts that will help pre-sell your coaching services.
  • Go for it. It is always a good idea to start list building from day #1 and you will hear that over and over again.
