Sales Funnel..to..Email Mark...

Wondering if you should always use your freebie and go straight into an offer (a sales funnel) or after your freebie go straight into email marketing?

I ask this because if your sales funnel is a product that will take your customer into some detailed information that would take them time to process...would you want to email them directly after that product? Then promoting a product in email marketing even though they might not be done with the 1st product you sold them in the sales funnel.

Does it make a difference? should I have a tactic to how to promote in a case like this?

Why one OR the other, why not BOTH? Send the freebie in email after subscription, present subscriber with backend offer on the thank you page while they wait for their download, deliver valuable freebie in email, start email sequence with more valuable content and not sell again later. Rinse and repeat...

This is how it should look OP:

Capture Page ---> One Time Offer (OTO) ---> Auto Responder Sequence

To further elaborate. As soon as they opt-in, you should take them to a OTO, typically a sub $10 product.

On that page, you should have an option that says something like, "no thanks, take me to my free download" in the case they don't buy.

But if they do buy, you can add in upsells from there.

In either case, your autoresponder will be triggered as soon as they opt-in. It can be however long you want, but I would create a 7-day sequence to start. The first email will contain the freebie you promised them, and you can promote your OTO again in that email, and the next few emails if you want.

You also want to send broadcast emails that sell higher ticket products. Don't just pitch them every time though.

You want to "jab, jab, jab, right hook."
Hit them with value (jabs) that build trust and credibility, and then promote your offer (right hook). Rinse and repeat.

That's what selling on the back-end means.

Good advice Tim, just wondering why the sub $10 amount? Does depend on the niche?

Prefer going straight to the funnel...

If you've got an awesome offer, and it's something they want / need...

Why would you want to delay showing it to them?
