incognito affiliate marketing

So what if I don't want to plaster my name and face all over the Internet and brand myself as an expert? It just doesn't make me comfortable.

What sort of strategy would you recommend to the incognito marketer? Aside from forking over a fortune in pay per click?

You just need to remember that people trust who are real and geniune, If you are willing to be uncomfortable then people will like you for that.

If you're not spamming and doing the right thing don't be afraid to put your name out there just my .02 cents.

If you still don't want to do that you can do the following:

    1. Use a Company Brand
    2. Use a "Pen Name"

I'm similar to you in that I don't like my name and photo being plastered everywhere. At the same time, what the previous reply said was completely true. People trust more when they are speaking or buying from someone they know (or at least think) is real.

You could consider coming up with some kind of cool sketch or cartoon like character of yourself and use that instead of a real photo. You could also use a business name or a cool "handle" instead of your real name. As long as people have a sense they're speaking with someone real then it'll work.

I agree. You don't need to give your real name and real photo, but you should look real. If you do that, you won't have a problem with people trusting you and buying from you. No one is going to trust a person/user who looks like a bot.

You can even use the fact that you're a little bit uncomfortable as it's going to make you more human.

    Your real name isn't fastmouse?

That PPC comment doesn't make any sense, it's traffic, no different than any other traffic source.

    Fastmouse,

The only thing you could do is get out and try it!

Try to set up a squeeze page that redirects to an affiliate offer. Find a traffic source that you are comfortable with (there are many)

The only way to know if it will work is to get out there and take action.
