Need An SEO Audit Service

Hi,

But its for off site SEO.

I need to find out exactly why a page did not rank very well for a keyword, because its low comp and I got some very strong links to it.

Anyone know a service like this?

Thanks.

I shouldn't have to explain why putting my page and keywords up here is a bad idea.

Google has a lot of ranking criterias. Maybe some of them are not pretty good for your site? I mean, for example, domain's age, content quality, filters etc.

I've been at one conference from Google lately, guys told that back links now are not as important as earlier, and some of them may give even a negative influence.

The recommendations: qualitative website, good content, mobile version etc.

I'm sure all the on site stuff is covered.

No offense, but I'm sure you don't. If everything was covered, then you'd be in the #1 slot and we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Since you don't want to share your site or the keyword in question though, then all we can do is reverse engineer your problem. Just look at the sites in the top 5 slots and figure out what they're doing that you're not. Then do that above and beyond what they have and you'll out-rank them.

My personal guess, however, is that some of those "strong backlinks" you mentioned are actually hurting you more than they're helping. If you have trash links pointing that way, get rid of them. If your content is not better than the #1 site for that term, fix it. If you have dozens of ads, high bounce rates, low traffic, bad navigation, spammy content, etc.....all of these things are "on-site" optimizations that Google either rewards or penalizes for.

yup u shouldnt have to, good luck with that keyword.

    1. make sure you got plenty of do follow backlinks with a variety of keyword anchor text coming from high PR related websites.

    2. make sure your main content is at least a thousand words long with enough supplementary content on it, like videos and images.

    3. make sure you got all the right social signals and user interaction happening on FB, pinterest, twitter etc... concerning your content.

    4. make sure top ranking sites for your keyword have low PRs with few BLs pointing back to them.

    etc... etc,,,

u seem pretty protective of your keyword, I just hope you aren't relying solely on google rankings for your traffic... cuz it can all disappear like that

      Thanks for the advice.

The links have helped my site overall, but just weird the way it hasn't done anything for that keyword.

I have a manually penalised site that even ranks fairly highly for that keyword.
