Am I Killing Myself w/ Adsense by Not Having a Mobile Version of My Site?

I looked at one of my website this morning from my smartphone, and noticed that there isn't a mobile version of it.

I then went to one of the stupid, mindless websites I visit every day (again, from my smartphone), only to notice that they had ads on there that coincided with stuff I've spoken with my friends and family via text messages.

So my question is:

From a Google Adsense perspective, am I hurting my Adsense revenue by not having a mobile version of my site that has Adsense ads that "sniffs" what people are talking about and searching-for on their smartphones, considering most people surf the net nowadays from their phones rather than a desktop?

I'm guessing the answer is "yes," but just wanted some feedback from some pro's on it.... Thanks in advance for your help.

Not having a mobile friendly website would probably hurt your rankings more than adsense. When it comes to adsense they have recommendations which can help your earnings. These include things like using image/text ads (as opposed to only image or only text), using mobile friendly ad sizes, and using both link units and ad units..

Websites with mobile friendly version rank higher when people search on Google using their mobiles. It means you are losing traffic from mobile devices and of course you are losing money from Adsense.
If you are using Wordpress on your website then simply choose some Responsive WP theme and your website will be mobile friendly easily.

Yep, I'm using Wordpress. Can I install some plugin that will create a mobile alternative view to the site when viewed from a mobile device without changing the theme currently in-place when the site's viewed from a non-mobile device (that was a mouth full lol)?

Don't use a plugin. Get a new theme, and a nicer one.

Your site could do with a more professional design than your current one.

Google will hurt your rankings for not having a mobile version / or responsive design for your website.
If you're getting organic traffic, you should really think about getting your website mobile responsive.

I was about to say it but they've said it already. One of the requirement to rank on google, If you're not mobile ready yet you're risking your website in losing your search ranking and lose your income when that happens.

You are losing traffic and your search results will be down. I do most of my browsing on my phone and honestly, if I come to a site that isn't mobile friendly, I leave quickly. It takes forever to load and will annoy your prospective buyer/blog reader. Most WordPress themes are mobile friendly. Also check on how quickly your site loads on mobile.
