JVZoo vs ClickBank For Attracting Affiliates

by meepmeep 10 replies
I've always released all my products on ClickBank but I noticed more and more affiliates seem to be turning to JVZoo.

In terms of attracting affiliates to promote your product, have you guys seen a difference between using JVZoo and ClickBank?

  • I've had more activity from affiliates via Clickbank. Maybe it depends on the type of product.

As for "attracting" affiliates, I would not depend on the market place to attract affiliates.
Maybe drive traffic to let's say your JV page. In that case it wouldn't matter much "where" you list your product. Except to those affiliates who feel that Clickbank is more reliable in terms of paying out, etc.

      I agree with you.

I was mainly wondering why there seemed to be a shift to JVZoo. Did ClickBank change something to make it harder on its affiliates?

It could be just me though...

I know that Clickbank started doing house cleaning and eliminating allot of so called "junk" or MMO type products from their menu. Getting a crappy product or questionable sale page approved also became more challenging, and many long term vendors were asked to add certain terms and conditions to their sales pages. (Mostly FTC related).

Affiliates (IMers) therefore may have an easier time finding that "make a billion by tomorrow" product to promote via JVZoo, as opposed to via Clickbank.

Both of them are excellent payment processing options for your product and they have a lot of features you need to put you and your products to sell.

    - Clickbank: is great because is probably has the largest number of affiliate and allows anyone to promote your product. has not an intuitive interface

    - JVZOO: ; easiest to manage features and functions. offer more versatily, i.g. you can manually approve each affiliate or put you product on the top banner.

From what I understand, WarriorPlus is only for the MMO niche. Some of my products are in other niches.

One of the nice things with Clickbank is that you can, once you have an account, simply grab your affiliate link, and promote.

Many more sellers on JVZoo are setup to 'approve' affiliates, since timing is everything, for me, this can be frustrating.

I understand the process with JVZoo sellers, I'm not here to start the discussion whether or not to delay approval, everyone is busy and we all live around the globe.... timing as I mentioned is everything.

For example, yesterday I bought a product. A good one. This morning I decided to send out a promo to my lists. Wrote the email, forgot the product is hosted on JVZoo, and here I sit 7 hours later still waiting for approval. With Clickbank that email would have been in peoples inbox this same 7 hours.

So I go back to my opening statement ...Clickbank allows the affiliate to grab their link and promote.

And, yes I realize Clickbank holds funds for two weeks. More and more JVZoo sellers are going with delayed payouts too.

So purely for attracting affiliates, as an affiliate who promotes, Clickbank.

I think Clickbank is more easier to work with. But Jvzoo is also good.

I'm an affiliate marketer, and I noticed the shift, too. While I mostly promote stuff on Clickbank, I have promoted a couple of things on JVZoo. I will say it took me a while because I don't like change - LOL, So now, I check both for stuff to promote. For me, it's all about the product rather than the network it's on.

Since Clickbank changed its terms of service in the past year or so, many affiliates have
turned to other affiliate networks like JVZOO. JVZOO offers instant commissions to your
Paypal acount and that is why it is so attractive to affiliates.
