Question about Tripwire to Upsell process

Should I have people pay for the $7 tripwire (via paypal) FIRST, and then take them to an upsell page after they confirm their order.

OR

Should I have the buy button on my tripwire page go to an upsell page where they can:
a) click the "buy button" which takes them to paypal to purchase both.
b) click the "no thanks" button which takes them to paypal to just buy the tripwire

I guess my concern is that if I don't secure the tripwire first, they might get turned off by the upsell and decide not to purchase either.

p.s. I'm using LeadPages templates in case anyone was wondering.

    The usual order is your second choice, have them go to upset page before paying Paypal. There they can can add the upsell and pay for both or refuse the upsell and just pay for tripwire.

    That being said... test it. Do an A/B test and see which one is more profitable,
