What do you mean Google is useless? Google is the most powerful tool in the net. You'll learn a lot from them.

Think about what would be your target audience problems and question and search in on the net. You'll find a lot of authority website on your niche. From there you can dig deeper and find social media pages etc.

If you say copyrights? Don't ever posts duplicate content on your niche website create your own content. It is okay to find similar article but you need to create your own, make it better.

    Here's a few steps that I use.

    1. Find a PROFITABLE niche, meaning a niche that has a hungry buyers already
    2. Research on your direct competitor and your target audience. Know where they hangout (which websites, social media platforms they are connected)
    3. Know your targets deepest desires or problems.
    4. Provide them a solution

Google is definitely not useless, it is the most important website/tool you will use.

I'm afraid I can't add more than the 4 steps mentioned by Marked09 above. He hit the nail on the head.

To start a niche website you need to follow these steps:

1- Find profitable niche with 100+ longtail keywords related to your niche. You may use wordtracker, longtail pro or semrush keywords tool for this.

2- Create a website using Wordpress CMS. Buy domain from godaddy and hosting from hostgator.

3- Add quality content around your selected keywords in step-1.

4- Find related products on Clickbank to promote on your website. Embed affiliate links within your content on your website.

5- Use free sources to drive traffic to your website to earn money. Free sources include:
    Youtube videos
    Facebook fan pages
    slideshare.net
    forum postings

You are actually correct "Google is useless". Now, understand that you are correct in your case only, since they do not support piracy in any way, which is why they worry about copyrights. You may want to consider going with a more profitable niche because the streaming piracy one is not. If that is your intention.

Next question: How do I raise money/capital for my business?
      A: Rob a bank.

Your target niche is where your target audience or customers can be found. Identifying niches help you to narrow down your marketing strategy and gives you a direction.

Don't create the website for the sake of creating the site - or following a crowd.

Before you find or create the product, find the people who are already looking for something that will enrich their lives. If you can create a product/solution for their problem, then go and sell that info or hard product to them. Never make a product or site and then ask "who can i sell this to?".

You may want to re-consider your niche, assuming you're currently in the video streaming market...

It's a grey area with a lot of ball ache with copyright issues, complaints, etc.

With regards to finding forums and blogs, Google search is as good as it gets. Simply search relevant keywords from your niche and dig into the results.
