Affiliates driving traffic on Autopilot???

I am sure everyone on this forum is familiar with the Internet Marketer Alex Jefferies. He has been running a few webinars lately to sell his inner circle coaching program. He goes on about how he does not drive traffic, he get the affiliates on JVZoo to drive the traffic to what he calls his "Super Products" which are basically a low cost lead capture product. As he says that you are better off offering a cheap product to get a "BUYER" on your list rather than a freebie seeker. I agree with this logic.

I emailed him and said "So you say you do not waste time driving traffic to your websites, you let affiliates do it. So my question is:
You mean to tell me ALL YOU DO, is simply load the site to an affiliate network..(JV Zoo, Clickbank or similar) and that is it, the affiliates do the traffic generation?"

This was his response: That's right man. I offer a commission incentive sit back while affiliates drive me the traffic to my offer or product which still blows my mind to this day!

Now he has said in his webinars that he offers 100% commission, but we are only talking $10 products here.

Can anyone tell me how you go about getting affiliates to drive traffic to your site where you are selling a $10 product? He gives them 50% on the upsell. Still, I think it is a big ask isn't it? I can't get affiliates to drive traffic to my $10 product and I too was giving 50% commission on the upsell, grant it the upsell was only 30 or 40 bucks though.

Can AJ do this because he is Alex Jefferies, he has a name. Or is he gilding the lily a bit?

I can only imagine it's because of his name and the relationships he has with top affiliates and others...

Exactly that is what I was thinking. So given that, unless you are in teh IM niche one would think you'd be pretty well hosed if you were to join his Inner Circle. UNLESS, he has a lot of contacts in a lot of niches.

It's not just the $10 sale - it's the reciprocal mailing many JV's are hoping for...

That and.. well, the rest of his funnel will have value left in it for the JV promoting his offer too..
