Hi. I'm going to create my own product in order to make money online. I think it can be helpful to know more about the potential of internet in making money. Please share your experiences:
How much money did you earn from your latest product(your own product)?
What was that product?
and how did you promote it?

Waiting for your experiences, dear warriors.

Several products, the latest is a video course out for just a few weeks now and already doing well in sales. Other products have brought in 6-figures - great part about those is that the base product was created nearly 7-years ago and I just need to update it twice a year - about 1-day each time the update takes place. Also have membership site products that have brought in 6-figures over the years.

As you tackle the info product market be sure to define your target market and desired transformation you know that market wants - then test, hit the market with your first products and expand from there.

      Hi Jeff.
Thank you for your useful information. I decided to create a video PLR product about facebook marketing about 2 month ago. I decided to create a complete package that contains video courses, audios, script, sales funnel, follow up emails, promotional video and etc. For this product I need to spend at least 200 bucks. As an experienced warrior, what do you suggest me about this product? Is it logical to build it? If I create a high quality video course (with PLR rights), can it sell itself?
      Best regards

Regarding your "if I create" "can it sell" questions, you will learn really quickly that none of those questions or answers given to them will matter much,
as the reality of releasing any product will always be different from what you or others may anticipate.

        can it sell itself?
Uhmm.... No. You have to do that.

Potential customers can't see the entire final product until they get past the sales page. (click the buy now button). If the product is great (or everyone says, go for it!!) you will still have to make a kick ass sales presentation.

Most give up on a product and move on to creating another, not always because of the product potential, but because people didn't see the value in what was being offered from a convincing sales page.

Since you are still in the "I decided to create" stage,
it's also going to be difficult to get "real" feedback, because the only way you can get real feedback, is by giving copies (of a completed product) to those in the industry that matter. People that create and successfully sell quality PLR etc.
At the same time you might be able to get a JV out of it.

The market may need what you plan to create, but if your product is low quality, then it won't matter how much demand there is for it.

I can go on, but I'll close with this:

        1. Having an idea on paper, or in your head, and asking anyone if you should pursue it, is asking for others to control your destiny. Don't do that!

What was that product? and how did you promote it?
        Which reminds me...

        2. Try not to push a "Facebook Marketing" product,
and come back here asking others how you should market it?

Obviously the only way to market a Facebook Marketing product,
judging from the way the Facebook Marketing experts in here do it,

        is via a WSO.

I'm always amazed at any thread here asking about the viability of a product idea.

Getting customer feedback for new features in an existing product... or for ideas for new products is great, but I can't imagine coming to an open forum and asking for approval/signoff of any product plans I might have - especially a wide open forum of potential competitors.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't understand the need to have a conversation about a potential product if I haven't already made the decision to create it. I understand full well that it may have been a flawed decision - but the decision has been made, regardless. Worst case, I'll learn from my mistake and come up with a better product idea next time around.

While I may share my ideas with a few, select individuals in hope of getting feedback to make the product better... the decision to create that product has already been made. I have already formed an idea of the product value, and what price I can demand for the product. I also have a pretty good feel for how many I can sell in a given time frame, and a projected life of that product.

On a side note... I loved your last comment, Arnold.

Not exactly sure what you are asking.

If what you are asking is if you should go ahead with your idea of creating a Facebook marketing PLR product - I'm probably not the right person to ask given I'm not someone who focuses on creating or using PLR products - we create our own products for sale or market and work with others who do the same.

That said, if the product covers systems that have gotten results - then of course it will sell and I would think you would be willing to spend far more than $200 for product creation.
