Bookmarking question!! Banning possible?

by gskesavan 10 replies
Hi again,

I've been article marketing with sites other than EZA now and suddenly a question popped up in my mind.

When I write an article and submit it to different directories, should I bookmark each article that I submit to each directory?

For example, when I write an article to ezinearticles.com, I then submit it to goarticles.com, searchwarp.com, etc.

Should I bookmark only Ezinearticles.com or goarticles.com, searchwarp.com, etc too??

If yes, will this result in a ban??

How many of you bookmark each article directory to which you submit an article?

If you bookmark articles, avoid bookmarking identical content from the same bookmarking account. You need to bookmark from random accounts at random times of day and days of week. If you do that then you can bookmark everything because this is a natural pattern. It would be unnatural for one instance of the article to get all the bookmarks.

I do not know of a page getting banned because of bookmarks, but it can disappear temporarily from the SERPs if it has bookmarks and nothing but bookmarks, or if the backlinking pattern is suspicious.

I would bookmark everything because it will provide extra backlinks, traffic and new page rankings in google.

You should be careful though as you may get banned. I had most of my digg accounts banned but the rest are fine. You should make your bookmarking account look like a real user. So bookmark some other things as well as bookmarking your own material and even try to contribute to the site.

Bookmarking identical contents may turn into a ban but if you do it in a random way and contribute your ideas and thoughts with others as well than there is less chance of getting banned.

most of the bookmarking sites will not let you bookmark anything identical,

what I would suggest is to not submit identical articles to the article directories at least change the titles then you won't worry about bookmarking bans

First of all you should be bookmarking your site and only as a 2ndary action bookmark your articles.

Now I know this has been said over and over and over (allen please sticky - http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...eza-first.html ) I will repeat some of this here.

Your articles should be posted on your site "FIRST" and not some glorified article directory. After it is on your site then you should be bookmarking it on your site. DO NOT build all your backlinks to those articles on article directories, most of your backlinks should be built to your website.

Remember article directories (not all but many) has ads plastered all over the place and they offer other services and products. You bookmarking those articles is also helping them make more money.

Read the above thread because your question is answered already in that thread.

I have a single landing page on my domain concentrating on just one keyword. That site has been bookmarked. Now, my major promotion is through articles on article directories. I'm using other article directories to gain backlinks to the "main" article directory, so that it gets a higher ranking in the serps.

Anyways, If I change the title of the article each time before bookmarking, and then also change some of the initial content, am I allowed to bookmark it that way?

I do not agree with your method because you are hurting yourself by building all those backlinks to the "main" article directory. This is getting them a higher ranking, not you.

The proper way is to have the content on your site, ok you have one page.. Well install a blog and fill the blog up with content and push that content towards your one page.

In the article directories you have 2 links to use (some even more) push one link to your one page and push the other link to your blog. Bookmark your blog pages and your own page, this will get your one page a higher ranking.

Why rank an article higher than your own site ?? This makes no sense because as I said you are hurting yourself and not helping. You are building links and making sales for that article directory.

With that said you can very well bookmark those articles even with the same content but you better use different accounts. Bookmarking should be done in a specific way, many always fail to see this. Does not matter if you change the titles or not, if you use one account to bookmark the same type of content (even on different domains) and bookmark nothing else then you may lose your account.
