So, I've been getting a lot of follows lately by people whose user name has an A inserted between the first names.

So Justin Jordan would be the name, and the username would be JustinaJordan.

I don't believe for a second this is natural, but the people aren't spammy, so I'm curious as to where they're coming from? Some kind of Twitter automation?

It could be or they are professional spammers and think that you wont notice. They may own several websites and use one automated twitter account for each business.

i have seen this happen a few times and a couple of weeks after following them i got spammed so i avoid ones with similar usernames like this.

    kind regards

I don't automatically follow people back so I haven't noticed that trend but I would suspect it is a bot type thing too.

It would be an auto type thing of some sort but I wouldn't know which or what. I personally haven't started up on Twitter just for the simple fact that I have never been the "social site" type but I hear it is a great site that is highly recommended by most marketers.

Is it a female type bot? They are making the names similar to a female. Actually I don't get the purpose of such thing. And even if you are spammer try to maintain some standard.

I only followed one of them, out of curiousity, but I'm pretty sure it's either a bot (most likely) or some kind of software that signs people up automatically. I don't autofollow back, but the username pops up in my email, which is why I noticed.
