Hey Pocketchange25, There's a lot of affiliate program that you can start with no cost and invest your $5 on generating traffic like facebook ads.

Buy 2-3 coffee, sit in silence and concentrate on my dreams. Thats how I will utilise $5.

You must first find a business to advetise. Then you can use $5 to bring traffic to that biz. Even when you have a solid product still $5 is very small amount to invest and expect returns fro it more so when you are new to it. Advertising is all about testing. You will have to twist and test your ads to find whats converting and certainly you need more than $5 in that process...at least in my experience.

HAHA I'd take that $5 and buy a cheap lunch at my local fast food joint. $5 won't get you anything of real value online. If you can't/won't invest money into your online projects (business is inappropriate and overused for most people), then you don't belong here.

Not much you can do with only $5 but get a good coffee Just kidding but if you are just starting out, find a good niche with low end and high end products that you can use to make affiliate sales with Amazon. Get a month or two of hosting and try to add plenty of content to see what kind of results you can get with social media. This is a long term way to make money online and is not quick by any means, but this will at least give you the opportunity to try your hand at making money online. If you are willing to stick with it for this amount of time, just keep adding to it for about a year to really start seeing results with free targeted traffic from Google. This is probably your best chance at making money unless you can find a business and are lucky enough to sell a $5 fiverr gig for a huge 5000% profit

Money is not the issue- your dedication to learn is. And if you don't have that, then there is no use ever trying. So save your five bucks and use it for gas money to get to your next job interview.

There's no such thing as free in internet marketing. Even the organic traffic from Google search is not free since you have to spend money on tools to rank your website, spend time or hire freelances to build backlinks, etc.. If you want to succeed, you need to invest both time and money.

I would go to a 7/11 store and buy a $5 lotto scratcher. But seriously, five dollars invested on IM won't do anything. You're better off making money online "the free way" and keep going at it until you succeed. Only quitters fail.

There isn't much you could do with $5.00 dollars but I am interested in learning what you could do with it.

$5 is not going to get you anywhere alone. Stop worrying about what you can do with $5, and start thinking about things you can do right now that cost nothing but time and effort.

Rather than getting myself a coffee as some on here suggest I'd invest in a domain name (from time to time GoDaddy offers domain names for as little as $0.99), get myself a free blog (either with WordPress or Blogger) and start writing product reviews. (Later on you can switch to paid hosting.)

Find a high quality product with a low refund rate (there are many products to choose from on ClickBank and JVZoo). What's important here is choosing a product with a refund rate lower than 10% (you don't want to loose your commissions by promoting a poor quality product!). ClickBank gives you the option to search by 'gravity' (the higher the gravity the better) to ensure it sells well. The higher the commissions you get the better (aim for at least 40% commissions).

Then write a good product review with a link to your affiliate offer. If there are more than 3 product reviews ranked on Google with your chosen keywords e.g. '[product name] review', try using a different keyword or pick a different product (this will ensure you're getting enough traffic to make a sale).

There are many free SEO plugins out there that you can install on your WordPress site that will help you get enough traffic and start making sales!

Once you start making money using this method you can buy me a coffee!

5 dollars seems enough to even start business online, can you imagine? I'll tell not what i would do, but what I already have done. For those five dollars it is easy to buy, for example, shared hosting server and start doing something great on it - a blog, an individual site, a testing server for your personal perfection and etc. For example, those 5 dollars can grow into something if you really have some original minds and potential to be noticed. Things work like this - you start blogging, people are getting interested in what you are doing, they start sharing your posts, soon you realize that companies are asking for you to start placing their ads and you suddently start earning from what you love.
Well this is ony one and the simpliest example, there are many other ways on how you can grow into profitable business with those 5 dollars at the very start.

Buy a coffee on a way to a Meetup group about online marketing, with the intention of making a new friend that you can collaborate with.

Seriously, $5 won't get you anything of value, but you can start building relationships for virtually no money at all.

This is not a good question to ask about for starting a real, SERIOUS... business.

I imagine that you expect lucky charms and a pot of gold by the end of the year. With low-level agendas and budgets like $5.... you wont reach that gold by the end of the year. In fact, you might not ever reach it.

Now get busy...

Write an eBook for a freebie giveaway for joining your list.

Post daily on your blog.

Create a YouTube video daily.

Monetize with an affiliate product, or create your own product.

Share every piece of content you create to drive more people to your blog and start building an email list.

Mail your list daily.

You still have enough to buy a $3.50 cup of coffee...

You can do anything serious for 5 bucks. Sorry but that's the truth.

In terms of investing online you probably can't do much with 5 dollars. If I were you I would probably

1. Go to Amazon.com

2. Search for a book on affiliate marketing

3. Read the book

4. Apply what you learn step by step!

Investing in your education is the smartest thing you can do , before you start doing anything you do not know about.

If you invest $5.00, you may loss. Because the $5.00 is really small amount. There is no good/ proper way to invest this small amount. So you should not lost this amount. learn first without loss. But 2 or 3 domain names with GoDaddy coupons and try to sell them on ebay or craigslist. Even if you just get $10 each it is a decent profit, but they would have to be decent domains.

Find a service you can buy on Fiverr for $5. Place ads offering the same service for $20 or more and use Fiverr to fill the order.

I think you're looking at it all wrong. If you're trying to "just" turn $5 into a real income, you might as well throw that five bucks in the trash.

The only real way to earn money online is to EARN it, by putting in the time to build up whatever platform you choose. If you are coming to IM or any other online gig just to make money, you'll give up before you get where you want to be.

Now, with that being said, you could do so many things with your money.

*Self-publish an ebook on Amazon (costs nothing if you make the cover yourself, or get one on Fiverr and reinvest your profits from the book on getting a better cover later on, lol!)

*Set up a free blog using Blogger or Wordpress and promote affiliate products (someone correct me if these platforms no longer allow affiliate links)

*Offer your services on Fiverr, Upwork, Elance, etc. using the free accounts, then earn money while you learn about what you really want to do.

For what it's worth, few people who start with any one thing online stay with it...they usually evolve something that suits them more specifically after a while.

The OP didn't say he only *has* $5 to invest. He stated that, after being burned many times before, that was all he was *willing* to invest. And not in anything particular - indicating both unwillingness to take risk, and lack of passion And I hate to say it, but being an internet marketer without those traits, you're already dead in the water.

I have an idea for you

1. Go and set up a free blog in whatever niche you are interested in so you can at lease write good quality content that people want to read, within this content forward any visitors to a landing page, affiliate or cpa offer,again this can be done using free tools,even include a video for credibility

2. Go and find whoever is doing the best web hosting deals and go find the monthly discount codes on certain forums, once you have this sign up with your $5 for 1 month, some of these offers come with $50 free advertising credits, use these credits to drive cheap bing traffic to your offer.

3. If you have done your homework right and things go to plan take any money you make from affiliate/cpa sign ups and re invest and turn your $5 into whatever you need.

What I did with just a little more than $5. After joining the forum, doing a lot of observing and asking some questions I decided a list was needed to make money online. My startup cost... time and around $7. I purchased 2 plr products from some dime sales. One served as content for my home site, I think I used Weebly for that (free) the other I spiffed up into an ebook to giveaway using mailchimp (free) to collect subscribers.

Back then the forum had a free ebook section for giveaways and you could get optins there. My sig line also accounted for quite a few. I downloaded nvu a free wysiwyg editor and started building my home site. After a few hundred subscribers I started making a few dollars selling affiliate products.

Around the time the War Room was launched I got in & had a few hundred saved up from sales. There I purchased XSite Pro for cheap & became proficient with it. With the money left I bought some domains/hosting and started selling XSite Pro affiliate and product sites. XSite Pro was all the rage and selling was easy. A few WSO's... flash forward a few years and I was doing pretty good with 3 membership sites, Adsense sites, selling websites, reseller hosting etc. Lots of pots in the fire. Finally I just got burned out it wasn't fun anymore. Sold off most everything and hung it up except for building the occasional Wordpress site for a few extra bucks. Still I did ok for starting out with less than $10 and free tools.

2. Go scrape up a few pennies
3. Make a deal with someone who's interested
4. Get a fiverr person to create a basic graphic and use those pennies to take care of the 5% or whatever fiverr uses to get paid
5. Show them the graphic
6. Ask for a percentage of the final agreed upon price, with that percentage = whatever it costs the fiverr guy to finish the job
7. Eat Chipotle
8. Profit

What beyond the $5 are you willing to invest. Sure $5 won't get you much but you can do plenty of things for free that can generate you money. Are you willing to invest that money into what you want to do?

You could jump on fiverr and complete gigs - costs nothing and makes you money
Jump on Odesk and find someone looking for a task that you can do

Once you have made some income you can invest that. Get some training, build a list, get promoting.

If you want to succeed, you will need to invest money to make money.

What I would do with that $5 is buy a lotto ticket and hope you hit the jackpot. If you don't win, get a job and stay there. ( I am not trying to be rude here, just realistic)
