    Hi Yogesh,

    Welcome to WF!

If you're considering promoting products to the Indian market, then a blog is a solid idea. Although, what I'd do is suggest a blog on the back-end, with a squeeze page on the front-end.

However, I've you're thinking about targeting markets outside of India, then I'd scrap the blog and/ or blog-squeeze idea and stick to areas of IM that are less reliant on writing.

He can blog in his native language. Why does everyone seems to think that the internet is only written in English!? So much opportunity in under-served areas of the internet.

I mentioned that he can blog in his native language - to, of course, people who speak his language. You need to read before writing, otherwise people may think you're foolish.

You might have inferred it, as seen above. But you certainly did not mention that in any specific or explicit regard, as I did. You don't have to be so defensive. It's not an admirable trait.

          To quote myself:

I very much doubt Yogesh assumed that I meant for him to pen his blog posts in Swahili. He's no doubt intelligent, you see.

Certainly not, but he probably would assume that you meant for him to pen his blog posts in English. As a marketer, I've found that it's best to leave very little to interpretation. It's often best to spell things out and clearly tell the audience what I mean, or what I want them to do. I'm sure with 20 years of experience, you would have experienced much the same.

Good stuff. In that case, Yogesh, what I'd do in your shoes is explore business models - as mentioned - that are less reliant on the written word. While your English is certainly fine, writing as a marketer requires an understanding of linguistic nuances, and - in a nutshell - having a firm enough grasp of the language to accomplish many relevant tasks. Whether this involves writing content for a squeeze page or even a seemingly simple meme. Not only that, but you'll find it essential to identify with the target market, and vice versa. Always a trial if language is a bit of a barrier. It's not an impossible task, certainly, but I think you'll struggle at present.

Take a look around WF and investigate models, as I say, that are less reliant on writing content. Plenty exist!

            Cheers,

            Tom

If you want to hit T1 countries, you can't avoid content-based promotions unless you're going to be buying traffic.

The good news is you can hire native english speakers

Considering that online content is a race to the bottom, it's not uncommon to find HIGH QUALITY content from TOP US UNIVERSITY graduate Native English Speakers for 3 CENTS per word or less
