How to deliver a bonus, being a CB affiliate?

Hi guys, so I want to offer a bonus to the peope who end up purchasing the CB product that I am promoting. If they do it trough my link of course.

The thing is, if that bonus was to be physically delivered... how should I go about executing this? Should I tell the person to email me with the Receipt ID and his address, after purchasing?

This way I can identify that he's actually made the purchase, 'cause if not he wouldn't know the receipt id of course... and then I get his address from himself.

I've never done this so I'm really not sure if that's a good way to do this.

    Perhaps you could give them directions on a pre-sell landing page, before you give them the link to the product. Explain to them that you're going to physically send them a bonus IF they purchase and collect their name and physical address. After they purchase, you could then use an autoresponder to follow up with them where they could input their transaction ID. Additionally, you could pay a programmer to put together the data if you store things in a database.

    Hi,

    On the download page create a contact form so if someone who only bought the product may proceed with eligibility for the bonus, but you have to check the transaction id manually for this.

    Form fields might be:

    name
    email
    CB purchase ID
    address
    phone number

    Make sure you also provide your contact details (email, facebook, skype, etc...)

    It would be easier if your bonus was an ebook tho

      What I've always done with CB products is use cblistautomator.com. It automatically verifies sales through Clickbank's secure IPN, then redirects buyers to a custom landing page. I would collect their contact and shipping information for sending their bonus. With this software, there is no need for such tedious manual verification.

          Oh absolutely, Robert! The marketing concept behind providing a physical bonus is not only to build lists of buyers, but to quickly establish multiple communication channels (email, postal address, phone, etc) for online/offline promotions of other affiliate products, my MLM program, and flagship consulting/training services.

    The key here will be crystal clear instructions on your presell page. One option would be to get them to register their details in advance, that way you even capture those who don't actually purchase however you can use the list you captured initially to follow them up on the purchase and also generic marketing.

    Of course this could also mean that people only take action on the registration and they don't make sales - it depends where you are seeing the real value.

    Of course this is also where you should be doing split testing to see what works best.

    Facebook etc can be good but to help with scale and automation a form would be better.
