Is it better to use solo ads to send readers to a squeeze page or send them directly to sales pages?

In my opinion and experience it is better to reach for potential customers and lead them to a squeeze page regardless if it is an email ad or any other kind of advertising.

You might end up having less people see your offer at first, but you get to keep their contact to offer them later future products and services later on! (BIG PLUS)

Blasting solos to get sales might work but you lose long term profit potential!

If you want to be a crappy marketer, I'd recommend sending it to the sales page.

Ya always get an email to follow up, and put a tracking code on the sales page to see how the solo ad is converting.

You can actually send it to a salespage. It'll make you different from 99% of the marketers out there. However, make sure that you have an automatic exit redirect that automatically redirects people to your squeeze page with a free offer the moment they close your salespage. Having said that, a good squeezepage excites the prospects and makes them ready to buy. It's like pulling the curtains back. It varies from offer to offer. All I can say is that you need to test to see what converts better. Create 2 funnels: 1 with the salespage in front, and another with it behind and get your solo seller to send 1st to one, and then the other.

Squeeze page first and then when they sign up give them the option to check out the one time offer which will link to the sales page. That way you get them to subscribe to your list, and they can also check out the sales page. Most will check out the OTO if your solo ad swipe is good.

I know some solo ad sellers don't allow you to send traffic directly to a sales page.

They usually prefer a free gift of some sort.

I'm not saying its impossible to send traffic directly to a sales page however. Just check with whoever you are buying traffic from and have them go over their policies with you.

My vote is for a squeeze page. After they opt in you're directing them to a "Thank You" page, yes? On the thank you page you can make a sales offer there - even some would say NOT to do that as list building is all about relationship building and offering something for sale too quickly will turn many people off. However, offering a sale on the thank you page in a clever and helpful way can be very effective. For example, let's say someone opts in because you're giving away 10 royalty free music tracks. On the thank you page they get the download link to access the 10 tracks but there's also a message that says "Hey, you're going to love the free tracks and for a very limited time, I'd like to offer you a collection of 99 royalty free music tracks for only $9"...that sorta thing...

    Hi,

    it should be something like:

targeted traffic >>> squeeze page >>> offer redirection / or download page with link to offer (download page with retargeting piuxel on it >>> email follow ups to provide value, build trust and then sell other relevant products

    Cheers,

Thanks everyone. Looks like sending them to a squeeze page first is the way to go.

Now I just have to find the proper solo ads seller.

I would send them to a squeeze page to collect their email and build a list.
But at the thank you page, I will ask them to check out the sales page.
At the same time, In the welcome email, I will remind them to check out the sales page again.

I would personally split test both regardless.

But a lot depends on how aggressive the sales page is. Sometimes a product or service may need a bit more "pre-selling" to warm the visitors up and turn them into paying customers. Especially if the product is expensive, it's better to get the traffic to go through a squeeze page where you can slowly bring them onboard as a customer.

Another big factor into this is how expensive the traffic is. If the traffic is organic or free, going directly to the sales page is simple, especially if you're lazy.

If you're paying for traffic you want to make even last cent count by collecting leads, setting re-targeting pixels, etc.

It really depends on whether or not your squeeze offer is compelling - if you send them to a squeeze page without a good offer it will fare a lot worse than a sales page with an incredibly compelling offer, and the other way around.

You can make profit if you send the visitor to the sales page, but you once you got that money, you´ll have no list to make money in the future.

You can send them to a squeeze page after they put the email you can set up the sales page as the thank you page. That´ll better.

Always send them to a squeeze page first. The reason being, you will not make that many sales immediately with cold traffic, typical conversion rates are 1-3%.

You need to capture leads so you can keep marketing to them. Then, from those leads you will make more sales. It's proven that most people only buy when they have been exposed to an offer 7 times. So you could create a 7 day email follow up sequence.

Also, you're getting the most value out of the money you spent on traffic. You let all those leads go by not putting up a squeeze page, it's almost like throwing money away.

Squeeze page, without a doubt, ESPECIALLY with the solo ad crowd...

They opt in like there is no tomorrow.

I would focus on having the solo ad text tell a story

This filters people based on INTEREST, NEEDS, and DESIRES.

I then dump them onto a LONG sales page that FILTERS them even more

At the end of the day, it is not the number of people you get on your sales page but your CONVERSION RATE that matters...

    Keep that in mind.

Too many newbies get this wrong and they end up broke

Test, test, test.Try sending them straight to a sales page, when they try to leave the sales page send them to a squeeze page using an "exit pop".

On your exit pop offer them a free report that is related to the offer on your sales page.

Squeeze page if you want to build a list. After the optin, you can still promote your offer.

If you send them to the sales page only, then you are potentially losing many leads and future benefits.

    Here's what I personally do:

Send them to a squeeze page, then setup an "Exit Pop" when they decide not to optin which will send them to the OTO or the monetized(CPL, CPA) download page.

My ultimate goal is always to build a list and when they decie not to optin then instead of just letting them go, I redirect them to a place where I can monetize them.

You need to atleast breakeven if you can from your SOLO so that you will build your list for free.

  • Hi 512 Designs

    Absolutely the best conversion page!

Try to sell customers something cold is equivalent to commit suicide, throw it in the toilet all the work done, people do not trust you because you do not know.

Creates a list and keep warm contacts, when the time comes and diveranno hot, will sell them the product that solves their problem.

It is always better, in the long run, to send them to your squeeze page and grow your email list. You can promote some offers on your thank you page for some initial sales.

These days, I can see that there is one variation to the above.

There are some IMers send their clicks to bonus pages, in which they offer very attractive bonuses (premium quality bonuses) so that their prospects will be put in 'buying mood.

I just started using this variation, I am not sure how well it convert. Will post again when I see the result after few days.
