Best place to market children's books?
Hi guys,
Apologies in advance if this is in the wrong place, but I couldn't figure out the best category to ask in.
Where is the best place to market/advertise paperback children's picture books and their ebook counterparts? I know that it is extremely difficult to make money with picture books for kids in my age bracket (5-9), and I've have more luck buying copies myself and reselling them locally.
My partner/illustrator lives in the UK, I'm in the US, and we're trying to reach both US/UK markets, if possible. I don't have a fortune to spend on advertising, but we've got a website, they're on Amazon and Createspace, and there are two books now, one more on the way and a fourth in the works.
They are relatively short, around 20-24 pages printed, but really cute and silly. I have realistic expectations, but want to make sure that I'm advertising correctly/enough/in the right places, and right now, apart from social media and our website, I'm not really advertising.
So, any tips?
