I was wondering if anyone, would be willing to share any new emerging ways of making money online. I'm not talking about a niche market like "pets" or something. But an actual method, like how Ads and Affiliate Marketing are methods that people discuss here.

Your thread title is Emerging Markets, but then your actual question is on New Methods of making money online. I'll answer both.

The Russian market is emerging with more and more internet users popping up from that area. But if you don't speak and write Russian, then there's not much you can do there.

The South American (Brazil and Argentina mostly) markets are emerging for the same reasons. More internet users every month for the past few years.

The American and English markets have also grown with internet usage, but not nearly as much as the Russian and South American.

So that's that for emerging markets. Now for New Methods...

Not much has changed at all. Anyone pitching the latest and greatest methods are either an idiot or a con trying to fleece others for a buck. You provide perceived value in exchange for money. Simple.

Mobile Marketing has been the hip thing since 2011 with millions, if not billions of dollars spent on advertising. Here's the problem though - nobody makes money with mobile. It took Facebook until last year (4 years) to start making a profit from their mobile marketing efforts. Zynga still can't turn a profit - and mobile marketing/gamification is ALL they do. So it's hardly a cash cow. Not something affiliates are turning a profit on either. Less than 1%.

Another growing trend is website sales. Not domains, but actual websites and online businesses that are being bought and sold like traditional businesses. That's going to continue to grow over the years, but is not something you can do unless you have the capital to purchase an existing online business. I'm a broker, but it is a lot of work being the middle man. There's a lot of due diligence to take care of and a lot of people trying to sell their websites under the guise of them being automatic money makers...which are few and far between.

If you were asking your questions because you're new to this industry, then you probably have a lot of learning to do. Move slowly and tread lightly. You also need to be willing to work.

Anyway, hope you appreciate my answers, and I hope that gives you some food for thought. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Thank you very much for answering, Yeah I realize now that the title was a little deceiving. You answered my question though. I was also referring to things such as the rise of video game streaming for money. That I think is a good example as something that emerged as a viable source of income online

This is very true, although the train has left, as it were. The early adopters of gaming commentary and game streaming have already filled the market. Despite what (naive) marketers will say, there is little room for competition in something like that. There so many "me too" YouTube and Twitch profiles trying to be the next Markaplier or PewDiePie...but they won't be...not as long as they're still in business...and that's not gonna change anytime soon.

What are you personally looking at, or involved with? I will say that it's best to not try chasing the "next best thing", unless you have the human, intellectual, and financial capital to leverage an opportunity that might arise. But most users over here aren't so fortunate, so most noobs chase the next shiny object when they can barely make ends meet.

You're absolutely right. Gaming was a good example of something that was "emerging" a couple years ago but it's completely over saturated right now. I wasn't looking for anything specific. I was just curious because I feel like it's a trend where every couple years a new hype attracts people attention and where there's that attention there's money to be made. For example I've been hearing some buzz around "live streaming" and somewhere further but not too far in to the future "virtual reality". I was wondering if people had more about these kinds of things and ways to make money with it.
