Have You Ever Actually Purchased Something Because You Were On Someone's List?

I've bought hundreds of things from emails due to being on peoples lists.

I just bought 2 products today that I only saw because I'm on their list.

Must've spent quite a few thousand dollars in this way.

I've bought everything from clothes, to books from amazon, shoes from shoe stores, computer equipment from ebuyer, software and ebooks from marketers and probably a lot more, as a result of recieving an email from them first.

I just bought something today from Alex Goad because I was on his list. It happens all the time.

It's also a good idea to buy other marketer's products just to see the sales process and how it flows. It's never a bad idea to follow what other successful marketers are doing within their sales flow.

Never did purchase from that type of email. But I did sign up for a daily News Letter and have purchase lots of bits and pieces as they offer some cool deals with free shipping to US clients.
Mostly PC stuff.

But you should realize that when I sign up to be on someone's list I am actually going to give them a chance to build a relationship with me.

If they do the old "burn and churn" by sending me an endless amount of crap, not only do I unsubscribe but I pretty much ignore anything I hear from them. Be it a sales page, forum post, or whatever.

On the other hand, if you start sending me decent info (no you don't have to send me a free gift every day), if what I read is someone who is trying to be sincere and do a good job of "relating" to me then I stay with them.

Look, if you can't maintain that relationship with the people on your list then you are targeting the wrong market.

So, if I don't unsubscribe then you have a shot at making a recommendation for a product and I will at least go check it out if I don't already know about it.

Also, believe it or not, if I have a decent relationship with you and someone else comes along with a bonus offer for me to go through them, I won't just dump you for their bonus.

Sounds crazy but I like to buy from people I like.

Not only have I bought stuff from an email.... I have actually wanted something that someone I really do not know sent and contacted a warrior to send me their affiliate link.

Great posts everyone. Keep em coming! I'm still trying to remember if I purchased anything via a list I'm subscribed to. I'm on a lot of lists but I guess the right offer hasn't hit me yet. That, or I'm just not interested ... yet.

I get on very few lists. If I'm coerced to get on one to receive something free, I usually unsubscribe pretty fast. The lists I get on because they have a product I'm interested in, I have bought additional products from them, largely because of the quality of the product and my past experience with them. I'm very selective about being on lists.

Oh, and yes, I have purchased from being on someone's list. Not a lot, but a couple things.

Loads of times, unfortunately in some cases, fortunate in others.

I've purchased a few things but actually I bought more when I was newer to IM than I do now. Although I am partial to the odd WSO

I've invested a LOT of money in products advertised on people's lists. I don't even want to think about the exact amount.

Only buy from being on a list
A) from someone I trust
B) the competition

If you are not on your competitor's list (at least the #1 in your niche...#2 if you are #1)
and you never buy a competitor's product,
me thinks there might be a tad of money still on the table ;o

I have purchased numerous times because I was on a list.
At the same time I am on a lot of lists that I have never purchased from and never will.

I just purchased a new beautiful teak patio table and chairs for my roof deck, which I sorely needed, because of an email alert to a really good sale.

I pay no attention to MMO frenzies and am subscribed to only a couple of marketers in that area. If it's something I need and it's at a good price, I might buy. Otherwise I don't participate in the unfocused latest MMO frenzies.

Its really hard to say as I bounce from list to list, and sometimes you multi opt in to get a certain product etc. However, I have trust in certain guys that send quality, like kern (mostly although he does send some rubbish sometimes but its been a while) and hence, I would rather buy soemthing with his referral than someone elses. The lists are the most powerful thing out there IMHO and yet I still havent got one, unreal.........

I also have removed myself from list that constantly are trying to sell me stuff...

I've bought more stuff than I can count... I may buy an affililate product I got info about in an email yesterday. I just got to go back and finish reading the sales letter.

Most of my purchases involves tools or services I plan on using on a regular basis, but
don't buy very many courses from affiliates.

Personally no, I rarely read these emails - i just delete them until i get frustrated enough unsubscribe

Of course. I have bought most products online because I was on the list and many have purchased from me because they were on my lists. Still the most effective promotion method I have seen.

I bought two things of note that are helping to build my business on-line. Both were purchased from being on the sellers' lists.

First was Frank Kern's Mass Control which I think is excellent and am working through now, and secondly Profit Launch Formula from Jeff Walker.

These guys are leaders in their field and very respected so I had no problem "investing" in their information.

I personally think that its not what you buy but what you do with it that counts!

I have. I buy the products that benefit my business.. useful tools or softwares.

Nope, never bought anything.

Same old story. Guy 1 sends out the newest latest. The the Lemmings with a list send out their pitch for the exact same thing like it's their invention. Seldom if ever worth even subscribing to any of these people. I use Yahoo address to sign up for anything. Then when the crap starts coming simply route it to the spam box.

There are maybe 3 or 4 people I subscribe to just so I can see what's new... It's the easiest way to see what is going on with paydotcom, clickbank, etc.

So effectively signing up for a few lists becomes an easy way to see what is new... they become the filter.

Sure I buy stuff all the time...

but if someone is sending me daily email selling this and selling that and saying i need them all then I stop buying form them. It's the people that selectively promote products that I buy through. If it's a good product that builds by trust, if not I probably won't buy through them again.

This is one reason why I love the WSO, I can wait for other members to review ithe product and get honest feedback first.

I've bought a number of products as a result of being on people's lists. Picked up lots of good stuff that way.

I have purchased many items from being on a "List". I might add some brilliant items that have helped me expand my internet business ideas.

Sure did.

Money is indeed in the list, but you need to know
how to monetize that list. It's not as easy as you might
think it is.

I bought a lot of stuff from these guys Ewen Chia and Chris McNeeney until I discovered that they began selling everything that comes their way without even given a damn try on what they are promoting. But both started with really good stuff and honesty that I fell in love with them till I regain my conscious.
