Internet Marketing Tips For The Intermediate Marketer

I would like as much feedback as possible on this site Learn how to treat your kidney stone symptoms from home.

My goal for this site was for adsense income. I am confused on whether or not if its the right thing to do.

I will then implement and test the changes I make. I have never been successful at IM and stop working on my sites. I know this is a free blog but I just want to increase its value as far as design, concept, traffic and marketing strategy.

Ive made money with ppc, clickbank, email list. I lose momentum and start off on the wrong foot everytime which leads me to giving up or changing the whole project.

Id appreciate it if a marketer was willing to take me under their wing so to say and keep directing me. Im no newbie but I am a rookie. Ive done everything you can do in IM but in the wrong way. I dont need another paid course because Ive already paid for thousands. I went as far as taking college courses on IM and Virtual Home Business and I still cant find my way.

I have a normal job but IM is my goal and has been since I was 14 years old and googled "how to make money online". This intrigued me to want to become an online business owner.

Right now I have a site its called workwoodplans.com

My idea was to promote Teds Wood Working. I spent 150$ on bing ads some to this domain and some directly through my affiliate link. I made 2 sales totaling 111.32$.

I dont have a plan of action which is one of my biggest problems. Just looking for some guidance I guess and some tips on improving what I've already started. Thanks

I just did a quick glance at your blog. The first two things I noticed were 1) no obvious legal disclaimer telling your readers that this should not be taken as medical advice and that they should always consult with a licensed physician regarding any medical concerns (edited to add: I see the disclaimer now at the bottom each article). 2) The use of blogspot.com rather than your own site. I won't go into all the reasons, but I'd recommend buying a domain, getting hosting, and transferring all your content to a WP site.

The other thing that was confusing was your "about" page. That typically should be about you, not "why this site". It's misleading, IMO. Why should anyone take your health site seriously if they don't know who's providing the content? You give no reason for anyone to trust you.

One last thing - the content needs some work. It's conversational, which is fine, but needs some polishing. A decent editor could do that, although I'd really recommend investing in a good ghostwriter who has experience writing on medical topics to redo it for you.

I do think the layout looks nice, but I'd recommend a more compelling call to action to get people to notice and sign up for your tips download (which, btw, absolutely should have a legal disclaimer) - that's how you'll build your list.

Hope that gives you some food for thought. I do think it has potential but it needs some more work. I'd encourage you to look at other similar health-related sites and take note of how they're put together.

You're welcome, Essex. I'm sure others here will come along with even better suggestions.

Are you referring to the workwoodplans.com domain? It sounds like you were off to a good start with it; you must have been getting some traffic to it as you made a couple of sales. I just glanced at it - I like the appearance of the page; it's colorful and eye-catching - and your call to action is more compelling and obvious than on the kidney stone site. Although I'd add something about saving money or costing much less than hiring a professional wood worker (saving money is a huge priority for a lot of people).

Btw, I just now noticed a disclaimer at the bottom of each of your articles on the kidney stone site. My apologies for missing that the first time (and glad to see those there!).

Once again thanks for the feedback. With the workwoodplans.com site my strategy was to build a list and promote through the list. I really didnt drive enough traffic to analyze the conversion ratio. Im not actively involved in woodwroking so its difficult to develop a content strategy to promote the site. I feel like the best way is to pay for traffic to this site.

    More suggestions are greatly welcomed.

I would focus on content marketing if I were you

The good news is there's a shortcut

Simply reverse engineer your competitors and rebuild their backlink patterns

Use several competitors so you can come up with a much better backlink profile

The blogspot domain will be a serious stumbling block though

I would seriously consider a self-hosted blog if I were you...
