Flex squeeze users! Need opinions

I know a few of you are using the flex squeeze theme for wordpress. I've searched and can't find the following answers:

1) Can you have an unlimited number of squeeze pages?
2) How many squeeze page templates does it have?

Say I wanted to setup a PPC campaign and have different landing pages for 100 different adgroups. Can I do it with flex squeeze?

The SqueezePage is simply a page template - there should be no reason why you could not create as many as you want. There is really only one squeeze template, but the theme includes a number of different headers and graphics that you can use.

You can adjust the template settings in the admin panel, BUT you can only create one template for the squeeze page - so although you can have as many as you want - they would all share similar features unless you override the template.

    It's a fabulous theme though - I use it a lot!

I've found the fact that you can really only have one unique squeeze page per blog fairly limiting. I've actually asked Ryan, the developer, if he could tweak it so that we could assign different templates for different pages. I will let you know once I get a reply.

Having said that I think it's a fantastic theme and love it to pieces. Much better than Thesis.

I'm using FlexSqueeze version 1.0 and am quite happy with it. It is actually fairly simple to add several "squeeze" type pages, you just lose the ability to control the settings that are accessible through the dashboard, you have to set them within the page template.

...Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just set there.

Interesting anyone tried version 2? It just came out I think. I'm interested in purchasing it however I'm curious about the unlimited site license?

I've seen some members offer flexsqueeze and sell it as squeeze page creation as well however I'm wondering how exactly does this license works?

If I purchase it from them can I use it on unlimited site as well or is it limited to that specific site?
            Thanks

by the way if anyone is selling flexsqueeze site creation I'm looking to create a sales page for my product and would be happy to purchase off someone and let them earn back even more of their investment if not I'll get the license from the site.

I have not heard about the version 2 for FlexSqueeze... If there is really version 2 coming out, can someone point me to the source? The main FS site mentions none of this...

Thanks a ton for the answer, Melody. I also posted this in the creator's forum and it seems there are 5 squeeze page templates (maybe this is an update from when you purchased?). I was assuming that the WP pages just got created as per normal, and I should have no limit. But need to make sure before I buy.

It's actually incredible that we can get a tool like this for $130 (multi-site license). I've completely stopped worrying about price on this $200 and under stuff. I'm reinvesting profits for growth. That's the only way. Reinvesting mainly in tools and outsourcing.

LOL - I haven't checked for updates in awhile, so that could be. All I know is that it is my 'go to' theme of choice and I have most of them out there! It's easy to work with - and reliable! I have had literally NO problems with it at all - it just keeps plugging away through several WP updates with no problem!

It's really an amazing theme - you will be very happy with it!

    Hi Melody,

The only thing that makes me a bit nervous right now is upgrading wordpress. I'm on 2.3.2 for a couple of my sites and I'd LOVE to bring them up to today's 2.8 standard and use FlexSqueeze with them. Wondering if maybe I don't even need to upgrade them to install this? I can't find an FAQ to tell me what version of WP I need as bare minimum to be compatible.

So I guess I'm kinda morphing this thread into one about WP upgrades. How do you normally handle the upgrade to make sure it's totally seamless?

Any one run into trouble with FlexSqueeze? I have several sites where it works fine for a while and then I add one more post and now my sidebar widgets are at the bottom of the posts instead of in the side bar. It's very annoying and I can't find a pattern to it.

Just back up your database first and then just click the upgrade button. Actually if you are still on 2.3.2 there isn't an auto update button, so just download 2.9.1 and manually upgrade. There should not be any issues with this theme handling the upgrade.

I would venture to guess that the new posts that you add have a video or a picture or an ad of some sort in them. One of those items is bigger (wider) than the with of the content column and pushing your sidebar down to the bottom. It;s not an issue with the theme, just the size of your content. You can either make the image/video smaller, or go into the themes settings and make your content column wider to accommodate.

Great thought. Thanks. Unfortunately I'm not sure that 's it.

I widened the post area by 140 pixels even though there was no video on the first page. A sample of the problem is on...

The problem only seems to happen on the first page of posts. Even page 2 has a video but it displays properly.

Any other ideas? You may be on the righ track, though. I hadn't thought of it that way.

        Thanks!

The only time I had that problem was when making the content area too large. Once I shrunk it to an acceptable level everything was fine.

    Hi ,

I have a problem wih Flex Squeeze and was wondering if any one has an answer. I have some html code that I need to add to a sidebar and I need to create a new navagation menu. However, Flex Squeeze does not allow that. I thought I could by pass that by creating a new custom menu using this new WordPress feature. I have no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Thank you,
    Michelle

Hey Michelle, what's the html do? Normally if I want to add any code to the sidebar I use a text widget.

As to another menu, I'm not sure what you mean?
