If you had a monthly budget of $50 to use for your Internet Marketing business how and on what would you use it to invest, promote and grow your business?

    On a budget that small I'd probably try to focus on link building. You're not gonna get much via PPC or Banner Advertisements with $50 per month. But, you could probably get some decent text links on a few websites which would help with SEO, and probably drive some click traffic as well.

    As the previous poster mentioned, you'd probably want to target long tail keyphrases with those links. They'll be easier to rank for and therefor, will require fewer links to start seeing traffic/results from it.

        Build your list. Try joining a free email autoresponder, give something for free and invest that money in traffic. It will grow little by little and it should start paying itself.

    First, I would set up a lead capture funnel using the cheapest hosting account I could find, which would prbably be $1. Then I would go and buy a domain name, $10. I would use either instapage.com or clickfunnels.com to build my squeeze page, Free account of instapage or free 14 day trail for clickfunnels.com.

    I would pick out an affiliate offer to promote from clickbank.com. I would also use the google keyword tool to find long tail keywords.

    Now that my funnels is set up I would use the rest, which is $39, to get good writers to write a few articles for me. I usually use iwriter.com but I would probably go with odesk.com. I've never used odesk personally but from what I understand you have a better chance of controlling how much you spend.

    I would get a few articles written, spending no more than $30, which could be 3 articles for $10 or if you're lucky could be 10 articles for $3. (I may be a little overly optimistic but here is an article that makes me think it's possible...)

    Now, download audacity, which is free. Read each of your articles outloud while you record yourself doing it. Next use google docs to create a power point presentation out of each article. Put your power point and your audio together to create a video.

    Now, post each article to article directories, forums etc. Any place that will let you link back to your site.

    Next, take your video and post it to all of the video sites you can find.

    Use your audio file to post to podcast directories

    Take your power point slides to doc sharing sites and slideshare.

    Finally use the word documents that you and make them into pdf files. Post those pdf's on free giveaway sites.

    That's not a lot, so I'd say a domain name and hosting. I'd either start out by reviewing some products I currently owned (but still get traffic) or ask a product creator for free access to a product, so I can review it. Once my site started getting traffic, I'd start building a list. Aweber does a one-month free trial.

    You wouldn't be able to do much on a $50 monthly budget. If you want to invest in a solo ad, good luck finding a super reliable and top vendor at $50 per 100 clicks. It could buy you 1 probable good PPC campaign per month. But honestly... at $50 per month as a budget.... you probably won't make any significant kind of money until 10-15 years from now.

    You could find videos on youtube that is in your niche and has massive views. You can contact the owners of those videos and ask to have your link put in the description area for $20 per month. Test it out with a few different video owners and see what results you get. I would suggest using a lead capture page to put in there description area.

      1. Pick a niche that you love and has a lot of money in it.

      2. write an eBook to give as a freebie.

      3. Get hosting and Get Response.

      4. Get a good lead page software or get Get Response and use their lead forms until you've go cash flow. But, either way set up your lead page.

      5. Write your follow up emails.

      6. Get free video making software for screen capture etc... Use power point to make killer videos and post them on YouTube to get traffic to your landing page.

      7. Monetize your list.

      8. Expenses; under $30 per month.

    I guess I don't get the point of this question.

    Why would you limit yourself to $50/month? The whole point of business is that you spend what you need to spend to get the job done. So if it takes you $50 to execute your business plan, you spend $50. If it takes $500, $5,000 or even $50,000, you spend that. Naturally if you don't have the money to execute your business plan, you either (a) figure out a way to raise that money or (b) revise your business plan. But even so, you start with the plan and then you figure out a budget, not the other way around. After all, if you don't know what you're trying to accomplish, how do you know what you should spend your money on?

    As for me, if I had only $50/month to spend, I'd spend it on all the filings and forms I'd need to dissolve my company. I spend 10 times that per month just on webhosting, let alone staff costs. Of course, I make it all back and then some. But that's the point. You spend what you need to in order to get the job done.

      Exactly right. The business dictates the budget, not the other way around.

      Also, @the OP: This is the internet where feedback is fast. Therefore, any purely advertising budget shouldn't be a fixed monthly sum, but rather a percentage of profits, so that as your profits rise, you increase your spend accordingly. Closely monitor the performance, and eventually, you may even be able to reduce that percentage and achieve the same or better return.

    Costs? Price of website for blog and aweber .. 50 bucks very doable to start..

    Now the above is just a general list of things to get done in no particular order, but that's what a few guys do and how they started and now do very well.

    Invest $1 for the tools of creating an online biz.

    Aweber is free for 30 days.
    You can get free hosting for 30 days.
    $1 for a domain.

    From there, EVERYTHING would be free and no-cost traffic...

    Creating and selling my own products along with promoting affiliate offers.

    All the profits would be reinvested to build quicker.

    After that, you'll still have ~$30 to spend after the 1st month to invest as well.

    Honestly, with that budget, all you could really do is get hosting and find free ways to drive traffic (such as - seo, facebook pages, twitter, article marketing, video marketing, etc)

    If I had only $50 per month as my budget for my business, I would get a different job or another job so I can add at least another 0 to that number.

    Also follow Grant Cardone around and learn how he uses all of these social media outlets and live streaming tools to become omnipresent in his space.

    Wouldn't cost you anything but your time.

    But still, get another job. Or find ways to get small internet marketing related gigs on here and fiverr and what not to get some more cashflow.

    $50 isn't much really at all.
