Running social bookmarking campaigns?- how ?

What is the best way to run a social bookmarking campaign on our webpages, or video sharing pages?

i got this tip from somewhere,
"Try Running a social bookmarking campaign on your videos sharing pages"

but got a bit confused. What does that sentence above in red mean?- can you explain in a bit of detail please ?

(i do know what social bookmarking is- but not what the red sentence means) - please explain people.

    In general though i think they mean get a campaign going by adding each video link to lots of social bookmarking sites to help with backlinks and traffic.

    i know it sounds like a long job but the traffic results are amazing.

    Hi

    what you need to do is first every single webpage you have that isnt a download page should be bookmarked to at least 20 bookmarking sites including pages with videos on.

    if you have videos that you want to promote further put them on a youtube account.

    then once you have bookmarked everything including articles, squidoo lenses, blog posts, webpages you then need to keep it up to date. I do this by doing an bookmarking every 2-3 days via any new posts i do etc.

    If people recommend you i.e. write a review as an affiliate re-use your articles on their blog bookmark this as well.

    But like with anysite you have to build up your rep over time so once youve been using these sites for a couple of months you will get a lot more response back.

      Google is using algorithms to check your popularity..i have seen 1 month old sites given PR5 due to their traffic and popularity...

      So that should give you a clue on how to make use of Social Bookmarks..
      It is also good for SEO, IE: Backlinks.
