My amazon niche site uses woocommerce with the woozone plugin. When a user goes to the checkout, it reverts the to the amazon checkout. Does amazon have anything that will allow you to disguise it allowing you to use your own checkout so users doesn't see that they are ordering from amazon?

    No.

And moreover, why would you want to do that? For one thing transparency and trust are crucial in any business relationship and doing something like that could easily be construed as deceitful. For another, do you really want to be responsible for customer support for a purchasing process you have absolutely no control over?

I already had someone call my home because their $300 purchase didn't show up from amazon. I had to explain to this guy what my site was and he needs to contact amazon lol.

But it seemed like amazon had something like this for $75 a month allowing this... .Maybe i dreamed it or something.

Reason why i asked was because on a forum related to my niche someone asked where could they get a certain product and i posted a link to the product on my site and the guy responded "That is just a amazon affiliate site. Can recommend somewhere else?" and 10 people liked their comment.

I have a little banner in the footer that says "Shop with Confidence. Checkout powered by amazon.com.

I think you are thinking of Amazon Payments. https://payments.amazon.com/merchant
    But that's for actual merchants.

according to Amazon's terms, you are supposed to be disclosing that on your own pages, so that the visitor is aware of the affiliate relationship BEFORE they even click your link/button.

Of course, this is only important if you wish to remain an Amazon affiliate, but it would be a shame to lose any commissions that might have accumulated in your account.

Oh - did I mention that the Federal Trade Commission also requires such disclosure? They don't just hold your commissions - they might try to take possession of your home.

Like i said in a post above i have this

is this good enough? I also have "Please wait while we redirect you to amazon to complete your purchase." when someone hits the checkout button. I'vr had both of these since the creation of my site.

I think people are misunderstanding me because i have a million kittens running up my goddamn leg (just one more week and their gone to new home) and i'm not thinking before i type. I was thinking that i saw a few months ago that amazon had a service that would allow users to complete the checkout process on your sites, but the order be sent to amazon, then amazon would fulfill that and ship it out. When i used the word "disguise" i was hoping someone would know what i was talking about.

  • Does your process enable a longer cookie storage? Is your intent to make the purchase for them? Do you have a link to your site? I personally wouldn't be thrilled on being given the perception that I bought from someone else.
