Realistic CPM for Southeast Asian traffic?
Average page view per visit was about 3, main traffic sources were search and social media. CTR was horrendous, if I remember correctly, it was something along the line of 0.08% on average and PPC was pretty meager as well.
Recently though, I read a few forum posts which stated that nowadays Southeast Asian traffic is a lot more valuable than they once were, even comparing it to just a few years back. Someone pointed out Epom and mentioned that he was averaging $0.40 CPM with the company.
This information immediately got my attention, because my website used to get pretty good number of visitors, but the main problem was the poor CTR, so if I can instead get paid for impressions instead, then we'd talking about a completely different business.
So I wanted to ask the experienced webmasters about their experience with Southeast Asian traffic in recent months and if they think it's worth investing the time and effort on a website that primarily caters to those audiences.
The main traffic sources by countries were; USA, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, and Indonesia. The website was in English, so it catered for English speaking audiences. Thank you for taking the time to read my post, I look forward to your insightful replies.
