My reviewed products are no longer available for sale on Amazon, What should I do?

I have Amazon review sites that created few years ago.

Some of the products are not available in Amazon now, the affiliate link still can link the reviewed product on Amazon but visitor cannot buy the product there, instead it shows the message: "Currently Unavailable. Want us to email you when this item becomes available?"
How should I go about this issue?

I was thinking to just leave the current affiliate link remain there but will add another affiliate link on that review product article that will direct my visitor to another similar product which is still available on Amazon.

Is sent traffic to another product which is not currently reviewed accepted by Amazon?

How's you guy handle these unavailable products on your product review articles?

    Sometimes happened with Amazon....

Replace your link with a similar product's link and fit your review to this new similar product!

Or contact the manufacturer and show them your past sales history. They might have a private affiliate program you can join.

Unfortunately, it happens A LOT on Amazon.

    This is really easy.

Replace your link with another one that works. That product will probably not be active again in the near future so change it and let it run.

Thanks for the advise, guys. I think I need to change the link to the similar product link now.

I am considering to use php cloaked link for my new review articles, so if I need to change the affiliate links in the future, it would not affect my original article contents.

Nature of the business bro. This is an easy fix though. Swap with different yet similar product. And depending on your review page/email(s) you send, you can even swap with a different company other than Amazon also.

Or.... just go with the product creation route, and do things your way.

If you use a redirect to go to your amazon aff link from your site links then in future you will only need to change the aff link and not every link related to that product on your site.

Pretty Links will do what you're wanting to do.

That's a big reason I stopped building so many Amazon sites and posts until I found the plugin.

Having to constantly monitor and replace bad links was a PITA.

With Pretty Links you still have to monitor to make sure the products are alive, but it's 1 central spot to update them when they go down.
