  Please take care of your health...physical and mental. Do read success stories and case studies this keeps the morale high and allows you to think of what is possible.
  
  But you need to be following a proven path. Get a coach...or follow one indirectly....do what successful people are doing. Model that. Every single day your goal is to do an activity that will put some money in your account.
  
  Take a single promotion that will pay you and promote it. How? that is where you begin...research it its all there if you dig...google search and youtube videos.
  
  FOCUS. DO NOT GO TO YOUTUBE AND BEGIN WATCHING HILARIOUS VIDEOS.
  
  Surfing the web all day is not making a living....reading WF posts all day is not making a living.
  
  We talk alot about the FREEDOM LIFESTYLE...that phenomenon requires FOCUS, DISCIPLINE, ORGANISATION SKILLS AND RECURRING INCOME.
  
  You can do it I know you can.
  
  Remember we can apply internet marketing to just about anything we love to do.
  
  Eating. Dreaming, Hiking, biking, video games on and on.
  
  You could even create a profitable tourist website where you live or close to where you live.
  
  15 years in a JOB? You may have info in your head that someone in that industry or trying to get in would find valuable and would pay for. Tap into it.
  
  Change the way you see things...opportunity is all over the place.

I know how that feel. It is terrible. It is like graduated without a job. I think you should consider doing internet marketing part time. Many people listen to the hype out there thinking that if they go full time with internet marketing, they don't have to work. Sadly, everybody thinking the same way. As a result, many people quit their job and go on doing internet marketing trying to make a living. Because there are many people doing it, internet marketing becomes really hard for competition. With people who is in it for a long time, they are experienced. They may even have 10 k hours of training on it. So, when newbies get in, they get kicked out. Because they already leave their job, they have no income. That is why it is hard for survival. In addition, there are many big company doing internet marketing. They have a strong team with a lot of money. People who quit their job compete with a team is like 1 on 100 and of course, they are going to lose. So, that leads to the option about doing internet marketing part time only. Because of having a job, you can make a living. The pressure that you have to make a large cash tomorrow is not there anymore because you have some money in your pocket. So, you can put your passion into it because you do it for interest only. As a result, you can success slowly in steady speed.

Quitting your job before having something else lined up is just dumb.

You have been posting on this forum for as long as I can remember (easily over a year), asking the same questions over and over again.

I don't mean to sound mean, but maybe you aren't cut out to run your own business.

Go get another job until you figure out the whole "IM thing".

Like Wolfmmiii has said, not very clever or responsible of you to quit a paying job so that you can sit at home and play "I have an IM business"...
You are very lucky that your parents haven't kicked you to the curb and are still willing to support you financially..

hey Devilfish168 thats a very nice topic you have started as I am also feeling the same.
Nobody understands what we are doing and are also compelling me to find a job. But I dont want to do that same monotonous job routine and that irritating under BOSS feeling. Its getting very difficult for me also now to be in this work at home atmosphere as it has been few months without the JOB. But I do motivate myself by reading success stories of people who have achieved good results. Once I again I thank you for starting this thread as I really wanted to share this with someone.

It is so strange to read threads about someone who "worked 15 years" and another complaining about "they don't understand"....who are complaining about their PARENTS.

If you are paying your own way in life you don't have to explain anything to anyone unless you choose to. If other people are supporting you, it's a different story.

I'll echo what others have said, you shouldn't have quit your job and you should go get another one.

At least not until you've been able to at least match in your online business what you make at your job for a minimum of 3 months in a row, but more like 6.

Until then, you're better off tolerating the office politics and the boredom for the steady paycheck that can and should pay for your basic every day needs as well as keep your stress levels down so you can focus on growing your business when you're not at work without having to worry about where the money is going to come from and without your parents being up your ass about the poor decision making skills you seem to possess.

I know that this sounds harsh but you have been a member here since 2013 and made over 1800 posts.

I think your parents have a right to be concerned and I think you should get a job because it you are not making a living on IM now, quite frankly, I don't think you ever will.

You can't 'play' at IM. It is a career and needs to be taken seriously.

I would reduce the amount of posts you make and concentrate on making money.

I hope you do well, but you need to start getting serious if you want to succeed.

Why would you care so much about what your parents think, with 15 years of working for a company you must be in your mid 30s? Are you still living with your parents? In this case, you shouldn't really have quit your job.

I never recommend to someone to quit his job to start an online business. I recommend people who are jobless to start an online career and commit to a plan. When you have a job, instead, I suggest you to start an online biz you run during your spare time; then, you decide if you want to quit your job when you establish a real online business with steady income!

I feel that it is really important to stick to a plan. So, there's no 20/hr a day in front of a computer. You work at home, but you don't neglect rest, family, food, friends, fitness, etc...

Working from home itself should not be a issue!

actually I consider jobless now .

in fact I making money ..just that I still haven't scale up ...
Of course the money I make is lesser than my full time job....which I have work for 15 years in the same company no doubt is more than my IM passive income ..as I just started IM last year ( more focus ) previous two years is like a stray cat go around see , look ,

I suppose it down to your ''gut feelings'' a basic instinct a person has when he knows he can do it.
Good on you, BUT you better work Smart and hard and you'll see results.
One more thing living with parents many people of others cultures live with parents and have no intentions of living without them so what!

The thing is you need to have a long term plan for doing IM.
When I was in my job , I created 4 different websites.
1 a timeline covers site.
1 a funny/viral content website
1 for funny vine videos

and recently a website for dubsmash compilations.

The other 3 sites started bringing some recurring income only couple of months back after more than 2 years of working on them. Sounds crazy but when you are in a job, you hardly get time to do other stuff.
I also created some apps using seattle clouds and took a coaching for that which immediately started bringing some recurring income.

so U need to plan accordingly and then quit your day to day job.

Do you even have a plan?

If I were one of your parents, I'd be very concerned as well. I don't know your culture, but my parents would have throttled me if, in my mid-30s (assuming you're around that age), I'd just decided to quit my job of 15 years to pursue an "IM career", and expected them to foot the bill for rent, food, etc. while I was sitting at my computer all day.

I have worked the last 15 years from home balanced with an office. Having a staff helps, but those staff are sometimes in other states. So the day in and day out with no outlet to the outside can prove daunting.

I would not suggest burning your time and allowing for the creep to set in. Yes, working totally from home brings in the creep, the boredom anti-relationship creep. You need a support staff no matter what. If you don't have that, then I suggest getting one. Go into a group that rents a house out, get around people, get around life, stay active. Working from home is one of the hardest things you can do in the world of working. It will challenge you in ways you can't imagine.

So have a staff, have clients you have to go see every week, but don't think it's something as easy as pie. That is why I have the company I do, I know what it's like better then most and it's good to help others keep a clear head and vision.

As I can see, this thread became some sort of a bashing of Devilfish168. All I can say is, if you feel comfortable working all day than go ahead. Just keep in mind that socializing and actually spending some time outside and living a healthy lifestyle ARE important, like your parents already said.

actually I workout to keep myself move at least.

weekend sometimes meet up my friends.
actually I think my parents is " worry how much I can earn from IM " they mean at least a constant range of income per month
