Starting Affiliate Shopping Site

Hi guys,

I'm new to affiliate marketing. I started a blog where I post affiliate links. I found that my site had to have content first before I could become accepted into affiliate programs and then link to these affiliates.

I want to start a shopping site where I use an affiliate store builder tool like Datafeedr. How do I get started? Do I install Datafeedr first to get the products onto my site and join the retailer's affiliate program later or vice-versa? It's kind of the chicken and the egg problem--affiliate programs won't accept you if there's no content on your site but I need the affiliate products to be the content on my site.

Thanks!

It's best to post some content on there first before you approach the affiliate programs. Things like informational articles and review articles about products even if you're not an affiliate yet. That way, you'll look more serious and it'll be easier to get accepted. So spend some time putting some content on there and approach them again.

Who's buying to purchase anything from your "affiliate store" if you have just some auto-generated content copied from the product manufacturer's website?

Post some reviews, tests, comparisons, which will fill up your site and then you'll be able to apply to join affiliate programs.

Yes affiliate site won't accept you if your website does not have any content. So don't risk your chance. First publish some quality content on your website, then you should approach the affiliate according to me.

Yes. My website "unluckystudio.com" was having content but still it got rejected by amazon. They are looking for quality. Have lots of content, Amazon will ban your account if you simply created a store.
