Aweber Question regarding my site and tracking...

Hello,

I currently have a script setup on http://www.outstandingpoker.com/
When someone fills out an email and first name they are sent to http://www.outstandingpoker.com/main.php
People may also get to main.php by clicking more info or clicking Already Signed Up? Click Here.

That being said. Our advertising needs to be tracked. Where can i put "performance tracker" code to track conversions from this advertiser? If i put it on main.php that would lead to false results. They told me to Please put it right after someone fills in the details and clicks "get instant access" - this will count the real conversion from the ad.

Please help me out.

Cheers.

Errol

My first thought is that it would have to be integrated into the script you referenced in your first sentence. But that wouldn't be good, either, unless they were the only source of traffic. You might have to create a page that is identical to your main.php, and include their code there. Then have the company drive traffic to that page, instead of anywhere else.

I am not sure i get what you are talking about?

When you come to our homepage http://www.outstandingpoker.com you are asked to enter your name and email. This sends you directly to http://www.outstandingpoker.com/main.php
So ideally the "performance tracker" code from our advertising company would be placed on the main.php site. however you may also enter that page by clicking view more info. So we need a way to only track people that came from the advertisers and have filled out the name and email. Where can i put this "performance tracker" code to get legit results.

Can't you just duplicate the main.php page and create a main1.php or something?

So when they register they go to main.php where the code is installed and if they click view more info they go to main1.php?

    Simples?

Two solutions i have are 1) create a new .html page for the adverertiser that forces opt ins. And then i can put the code on the main.php page.
    2) create a 2nd main1.php script. But the problem here is that the page content changes and i would have to reduplicate the page for main1.php and its not good for SEO.

Is there not a simple solution to all of this? That can be done with aweber?
    Any other solutions?

Couldn't you add no-index in the headers of main1.php or whatever the duplicate landing page is?

Set up a redirent to the main.php with advertiser code.
    SHould work fine.
so this was a 3rd solution!
