Reinvesting Affiliate Profits Advice

Hello everyone,

I have an affiliate website that's making around $100 each month. So far, the focus has been on adding content to the blog. Just wondering if you had some advice on how to better promote the items.

Should I invest the $100 to get more content, or to actually buy the products so that I can review them on YouTube? Or should I focus on creating another site that earns around the same? Is there a better route to take?

I want to build a portfolio for passive income and work on sites before the holiday season.

I appreciate the tips!

In the beginning, it's usually best to focus on one project at a time. Build the site up to where you are happy with the income, and it's coming in on a very consistent basis, then think about expanding.

Typically, you would want to spend your money on marketing if you want to grow. You can write your own content, use P.D. content, or find someone who can provide the content.

I would suggest you look into creating or licensing your own product. In the long run, it gives you a higher rate of return and you have total control over it - unlike Adsense, affiliate offers, or other ways people monetize sites.

    Good luck to you,

    Steve

I would build the one site up so it can generate more.

The biggest mistake made in Internet marketing is losing focus.

You have something that is working so scale it up. Now if you do decide to develop other sites do not get yourself overwhelmed with too many sites.

Of course if you build up the site and it brings $1000 a month and you want to venture from there you can always outsource the work on the original site and focus on developing the next. After it is ramped up outsource it and move onto the next.

Using this approach your focus will always be on your latest site with outsourcers taking care of the older ones.

You will want to make sure any affiliate links you promote stay current and are still active.

Can you earn more with your current site? Possibly with more traffic and better offers, you could be making maybe $500-600/month or possibly $1k/month?

If that's the case, then I would focus on adding more content and increasing your audience, then find better offers to monetize the traffic, place them properly on the site and see what happens.

Expanding to more blogs is something you can do later on, when your first blog is maxed out.

Thanks, I have a few ideas. I'm promoting about 30% of the products in my category. Mostly the higher end items so I know I can expand the site with new products.

I'm not sure what kind of product I could make myself, possibly an ebook but manufacturing seems unrealistic at this point.

It seems like you all believe in having a large site that's high quality instead of many sites that are mid-range. I'm worried that the product ends up being seasonal (it's an Amazon associate website) so once I get it to a place where it's making a consistent income then I'll focus on the next niche.

Anyone with Amazon Associate experience have any feedback?

I would probably take that money and reinvest into:
    - a similar site like this
    - Or I would buy more traffic
    - I would definitely invest in the list so I could email people with offers
    - I would sign up to MOBE and get a mentor

The best one probably would be MOBE and the mentor.... I would invest into education....

Good luck with whatever you choose! Cheers!

When you say a similar site, do you mean something on the same topic? I think a list would be good, but I have no idea what I'd send to that list...

Thanks for the mentor advice! I've always been unsure of where to find one.

I'd take the $100/month and re-invest it back into the business. Then get a job to help fuel the business also. Just focus on one task at a time.
