Advice on how to market a youtube channel

Hey guys hows it going. HoseTacoRicoQuesadilloMondilloJones here.
I'm sort of new to this site, and I was wondering if you bros could help me out by giving me some advice
So I created a youtube channel about a month now, Actually I think I've surpassed a month, and currently I am having a bit trouble on marketing my channel. I don't want to pay for advertising it, just want to get my channel out there. I've used social media such as twitter facebook, and pintrest as well as instagram. I guess I'm doing ok so far, I have around 200+ Subscribers right now, and I was wondering if you guys have any suggestions on how to get more people to my channel via adertising besides pay per click and social media.
Thanks bros! if you want to critique my work and give any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated!

I'd think about building a website for yourself where you can make regular blog posts.

I see your doing stuff with gaming so you could write reviews, maybe like a rundown of the game, compare it with other similar games, etc. You get the point. Write about anything.

Then incorporate your videos with your blog. Build an audience. I'd suggest building an email list. Maybe offer them a free game walk through or something along those lines to bait them to sign up to your list.

This will gradually build your audience over time and give you more exposure. Good luck!

You can also reply with genuine comments on popular videos related to yours. People who like what you have to say will eventually follow you and subscribe to your channel.

Also, use youtube "recipes" at ifttt.com to automatically push your videos to other social networking sites. It will save you heaps of time.

I have a question about ifttt.com. I never used to but have you had any success with it?

Has it made you a lot of money/ traffic?

Well, not sure how to measure "success" with ifttt.com, but it can automate a lot of things and make life easier for IMers. For example, you can use a recipe that says whenever you update your WP blog, it'll make a post on FB, or on Twitter, or Tumblr, etc. It's automatic, so you don't have to worry about announcing your latest blog post everywhere.

  • There are lots of techniques to get people to your YouTube channel.

Think about how to take advantage of hot topics and contextual search terms.

Also, look at how your channel and videos can be promoted on other people's YouTube videos.
