Domain Traffic Boost

For the last 3 days, one of my domains has been getting more traffic then expected all of a sudden. It started getting 90+ from 5 to 10 visits a day and majority of the traffic is from China. The domain is parked and is for sale. So far, I have not received any offer yet. It was sold 3 months ago for $999 through one of the domain selling platform but unfortunately, the buyer did not transfer the money and was cancelled as he failed to send the money to the company. Now all of a sudden the traffic went up by at least 10 times.

Does it mean that the boost of the traffic is because of the interest that people are showing or are they up to stealing my domain?

What's your thoughts on this?

  • My opinion - the domain has probably been "noticed" by Google, or mentioned through an automated process.

    I wouldn't read anything into it.

    • Thanks for your Response. I agree with you and it must be something like that. I just checked today's traffic and it was 90 visits. I'm just curious to know how long will it go like this.
