is it worth hiring an article writer? & prices charged.

hi,

has anybody used article writers? and are they worth paying the money for?
as i need to write 2 articles for a music site & 2 articles for a dating site. & 2 blogs which works out to be $16 and then i may need 2 blogs with content too,

so this works out to quite a lot & is it worth it? as i dont have the time to do all this..

plus if anyone can , can they do this much cheaper at all?

    I better jump in before the writers on this board rain down on you in righteous fury!

    You're getting a very good deal for what you are paying - at the very least, you should expect to pay a good writer at least US$10 per article. If writing isn't your expertise, hiring someone who is trained or good at it is a worthwhile investment.

      ok, thanks for the reply, but with the 2 sites mentioned music & dating if we do the above & hire someone to write 4 articles 2 blogs, do you think this definitely increase revenue from adsense on the sites?

        Hi Tuzic,

        Personally I would go for the quality of the articles. =)

        You have to be very specific in asking for requirements such as how they are structured, the tonality, kind of keywords to be planted and where they should be planted.

        Train your article writers to write the type of articles you want.

        Personally I have 3 article writers working for me and I have tested over 20 article writers before I have shortlisted these 3.

        So test them before you engage them for a longer period. =)

    Cheaper than $2 an article are you serious? If you think that is a lot, then you need to think again about what you plan to sell in IM.

    I write articles, and are they worth paying the money, well my clients think so. When they keep coming back to get articles written for EZA and pay $27 an article, and they order 20 at a time. Now there is a clue there, just work it out. Why would anyone pay $27 per article to post them in one article directory?

    Could it be that they make them a lot more money than they have paid out.

    At that price, you will be getting total garbage or scraped content. Just my opinion. If you keep throwing garbage at the wall, in the end all you get is a dirty wall. Real articles, unique content takes time and talent.

      Check in the WSO section you can find someone there. Ask for samples.

      The more you buy the better the price, for what you're doing I would go with about 750 words per article.

        sorry its definitely $4 per article.

        ok so really what your saying is that i need to aim for quality content articles instead of the cheap $4 ones? as they wouldnt bring much return in.?? im fairly new to this so its hard to know exactly what to look for in a writer, do they use keywords you want, links?

          We aren't saying that all $4.00 articles are trash. But many of them are. Yes! you need good quality content. You want your visitors to return to your site, if you don't have it good quality they won't be back.

          Here are a few tips that might make your selection process a little easier.

          1. ask your writer for samples.
          2. ask for references (use these with grain of salt)
          3. use a writer who will rewrite if your not satisfied (good ones will have no problem with this, if they won't try and find another one)
          4. give specific directions to your writer for use of keywords and links (if you don't they have no way of knowing)
          5. ask your writer questions if your not sure about something in your articles (many will be quite helpful)
          6. use copyscape or other software to make sure the articles used elsewhere on the internet
          Then you have to apply your common sense to determine if the writer is going to fulfill your needs. No one can do that for you. It's a risk but if your in business your going to have to take a risk.

              I just clicked on all your links in your signature file here and you may be in trouble on your site. Before you hire anyone to write your articles, you need to get someone to help you get your site cleaned up. I just used the FF browser and your site loaded but no body is going to trust what you have because of the way it looks. At least I wouldn't. Sorry but on my end it looks bad.

              Several of the people that have posted in this thread will write for you but not for $4.00 an article.

              I'm sure there are some writers here who will write for that cheap and may do you a good job.

              Start a new thread and "Article Writer Needed" spell out what you need and tell them what you are willing to pay.

              I will write for you but it's not going to be be for $4.00 an article. PM me if your interested and I will give you my rates.

    Each one of the posters to this thread are giving you good information.

    If you want your site and your blogs to be a success you are going to need good content. Your visitors aren't going to bookmark your site unless you give them what they want to read and hear. This does not even include what you need for search engines to rank your site so it can be found.

    Frankly, $16.00 is an absolute steal for what you are talking about. But your going to need to check it carefully to make sure it is accurate and applies to your industry. You need to specify that it is original content, that you will own the sole copyright to it and that your ghostwriter can not resell it to anyone else.

    Now heres the kicker my friend. In order to grow your site and blog you are going to need to do this month in and month out. So you need to revise your business plan budget to put $16.00 a month in for advertising.

    If you don't believe that the $16.00 would be well spent, what are you going to do when your site has been out there for 6 months or longer and you haven't made any money from it? Or that you have only 3 visitors during that whole period of time.

    Your talking about your business and it's going to be up to you to promote it and if you don't have time to do it, your going to have to pay someone to do it for you.
