Affiliate Program For Service Based Business

Okay, I feel stupid because every second post on here is affiliate this, affiliate that, but I have been unable to find a clear cut answer.

Tried googling but I'm not really sure I'm searching for the right thing.

I have 2 questions.

1. Is there an affiliate program I can join that will list my business to potential advertisers. Looking to pay 10% commission on any job an affiliate brings in.

2. If such a program exists, which I'm sure it does, is it actually a good idea to get involved with this? My business is in my sig, but it's just a basic web design business. Would an affiliate program be a good idea?

Thanks!

There are a few ways you can accomplish your goal:
    • You can setup your own, self hosted, affiliate program.
    • You can join places like JVZoo, and CJ.

Thanks, I will check those out!

Do you think it would be worth it for a service based business.

The best pple to be your affiliates will be your previous clients.

Works really well if you have a referral program.Worth it - definitely!

You could also provide White Label Web Design services. Basically, people will outsource their client's work directly to you. For example, say you charge $500 for a complete website package. People can find their own clients looking to have such websites, charge them whatever they want and outsource the whole thing to you for $500. It's a simple but profitable concept, less risks and no need to manage affiliates.

I like this idea. Is there anywhere to promote these services or is it something I should advertise myself? Cheers.

    - JvZoo

Interesting concept. I think this could work well but not sure how to get affiliates that would have the means to advertise a web design or service company. Most affiliates sell digital or physical products. One idea is to hire a sales person for your biz that runs on 30-40% commission per sale. This would make them motivated to sell a ton because you are paying so much and you would be able to focus on your services and not the promotion aspect.

The other thing you can look at for a service based business is buying leads using CPA.

Set up an offer as an advertiser through a CPA network (research to find a good fit) then offer something like $1 for an email or $5 for a form requesting a quote/info.

You need to know your customer value and cost of acquisition to figure out how much you are willing to pay for leads.

You also need to determine any restrictions for affiliates so they don't flood you with value-less leads at $1 a pop.

CPA is a good way to get leads when you don't have a digital product to split profits with affiliates but still want to have an affiliate network of marketers driving traffic/leads to your offer.

This may be tricky if you have no familiarity with CPA but your account manager can help you.

    Hi Jack,

It's pretty easy to set up an affiliate program using 1ShoppingCart as well. However, it costs about $100/mo so you'd have to look at whether it would be worth it or not.

    All the best!

Well, I think it will be okay to do business with those enterpreises with many affiliates, then you do not need to worry about those problems. I hope you can be lucky.

Whichever strategy you opt for, make sure your offer really stands out. Web design services are offered everywhere so you want to answer "why should I care, or why should I I act now" right in your sales copy.

A targeted offer to target CPA traffic is your goal.
