If you could go back...

If you could go back, and tell your Internet Marketing-self any piece of advice when you were first starting out, what would you say?

This question is asked over and over again please stop with it.

Here is what everyone will say. "Build a list right away"

Actually i was going to say "dont sell porn!". That stuff is distracting!! Looking at beautiful women all day and trying to market the membership site. Give it a shot and watch how hard it is LOL .

Honestly, i would tell myself to start off selling $7 ebooks. Even if i was given a package of digital products to sell, i would tell myself to sell them as a bundle (or individually) for $7.

But that doesn't mean that YOU should do this. This is just something that i would tell myself when i was in college.

You forgot, 'scale it up,' 'rinse and repeat' and 'just believe in yourself.' :-)

Don't chase a quick buck, because you'll spend more chasing the next shiny object than you will ever earn.

Instead, do what you enjoy and look for ways to help others enjoy it, too. I created my first multi-million dollar business (selling car wax!) by following my hobby.

Hmm I was gonna say "Build a back end to your front end offer."

I spent a year and a half selling a front end offer, not for nothing mind you, but missed out on a lot of upsells.

It would be "Stick With One Thing".

That sounds vague, but it's not really. You really need a business.

I'd have a website with a blog, and then if I felt that it was going well, I'd start to build a email address from that list. Then I'd create a product, then I'd sell solo ads.

Doing "One Thing" doesnt mean literally doing one thing. Have ONE BUSINESS and build on it from there, and never start from nothing again, always be building out. If I had done this, I could probably be earning a consistent $1000 per day by now.

I'm 22 though, so still time

I would tell myself to pursue a totally different field. Internet Marketing is the most isolated, shady way to make a living. Don't get me wrong, their are a lot of perks such as high income potential and work flexibility...but...I would have convinced myself to reach for the higher fruit.
