I have this idea, and I'm sure it must have happened many times over

It's about creating a community.

There is no product as such no one pays for entry

You go through a selection process to show you have the right attitude and qualities to succeed.

You then spend 12 months training. That's 4 areas of training, each lasting 3 months.

During your time training, you are first trained how to run it, then how to set it up. This means you'll start earning first, then you'll learn how to do it from scratch,

You pay a % of your earnings into the group

Once your training has finished, you become a trainer / tutor for the next group of 'recruits' whilst working.

You pay up still, but less. Now you also get cash for being a trainer. So you both give to the group and take from the group.

After 12 months as a trainer, you're now part of the group for real. You don't give into the group any longer, you just take your % from the groups earnings.

The group acts as banker for new projects.

The group is able to work in groups utilizing specific skills.

The group shares in a % of profit from new projects started by group members.

Basically... its the Scientology of Internet Marketing! lol

JOKING!

So come on, tell me what's wrong and it's been done 1000 times before!

    How to run WHAT?

    How to set WHAT up?

What happens when someone gets 'trained' and immediately says "i'm going to go it alone because I don't want to give a %?"

It's a bit vague, don't ya think? I've seen groups work - and not work. It depends on who is in the group - what is required of them to stay in the group and what sort of leadership keeps the group moving forward.

My opinion is the most successful "community efforts" come when everyone who joined the "community" contributes something of value to be utilized by the entire group. That might be expertise (trainer) or cold hard cash (entry fee). People with no skin in the game tend to participate only until something shinier comes along.

I don't know if it's an old idea, but it has some problems.

1- Who is going to do the initial training and what does the training cover? IM is a very broad field and there are thousands of ways to make money.

2- What happens when 95% of all the trainees fail at making any money? It's been proven year after year that very few people make enough to have a full time income from IM. So why is this any different? Anyone has access right now to a mentor if they want it.

3- "Once your training has finished, you become a trainer" - So as soon as you "graduate" you're qualified to teach newbies Internet marketing? I don't think so. This is a major flaw.

4- Who wants to share profits with a group when others in the group are maybe not pulling their weight? So few people ever really make it in this business.

5- So you have to endure training for a year? People will lose interest and quit early.

    Just some issues to consider.

Thanks so much guys for playing devils advocate with me!

      Yeah there are some flaws.

I thought this. If I were to set you up with a squeeze page, OTO offer, a sequence of emails and then just had you drive traffic to the squeeze page (following my instruction) then as soon as you're making some cash, I would then train you how to set up the squeeze page, OTO, email responder etc.

Surely this would be a way to combat whether it worked or not? Assuming the 'trainee' did what they were told.

We'd do the same with blogging for example. Have the blog set up, content being written, email capture, FREEBIE, all in place. We teach the trainee how to drive traffic to the blog via social media. Once they're successful and earning money we then show them from the beginning how it's set up.

      This was my thinking.

This is merely at the hypothesizing stage, however

The biggest problem I have is that I want this to be a community program, so there is no entry payment. As you said, you'd have time wasters.

My initial idea is like the 'special forces' in the military. You have a selection process. So you take 1 of the ideas above and only those who are able to follow instructions to start earning money. OK not a massive amount but it shows they have picked it up and they've given their time for FREE .

From there you are selected to join the trainees, this should remove some of the time wasters.

Yeah there is always going to be people who get up and leave once they've been trained. However, if A) they're earning money whilst they learn other ways to make money and B) They're already paying us a % of what they earn then each person who did that would not be a complete loss.

Finally, the problem of becoming a trainer once you've graduated. The idea is this. You'd be given a group of Trainees. So once they've gone through selected they would be on training 1. You finished 'training 1' 9 months ago and have been making money using this system since then.

Is 9 months enough to deliver training to others? I'm hoping to keep it simple, like the examples I mentioned above. Of course the skill is in the subtle differences, the split testing etc but this is general rule of thumb training.

OK, this is what I've been thinking. Please shoot me down guys, pick it apart for me if you're willing to spare me 5 minutes!

      Thanks again
