Does anyone use a auto ping plugin???

Wordpress has a pinging process built into it. You don't want to ping too much, or might be considered a "ping spammer"

If you're trying to avoid that, there is a plugin to prevent over pinging:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-ping-optimizer/

But you can add a pinglist to your WP install to ping all the major sites. Look up "ping list" in Google.

Wordpress does automatically ping for you. I never install ping plugins. I might do some manual pinging, but if anything it's usually for pages that I have backlinks on.

Just use the Ping facility in your wordpress settings;

Copy&paste the list below, which is pretty good, and every time you submit a new post Wordpress will ping these sites ;

Pinging is a resource intensive feature. So, when your blog pings, then it put strain on your site performance. So what I do is remove any pinging service from wordpress, because when you update your post or make slight changes and save them, it start pinging. That's how you become ping spammer unknowingly.

There are very good pinging services, which can be used any time you want and avoid putting load on your site. Moreover, they ping many more sites which not possible in your blog.

Just click to add a new plugin and then search for "Wordpress Ping Optimizer"
